This was adam using my user id. What he wants to know is is the back-box suspended by one or two brackets? one either side.
Thanks for the previous replys, i've told him not to worry anyway as the reno one will soon rust and fall off anyway and then he can sort out a nice aftermarket unit.:)
I'll just bump this as a friend has just bought one and he thinks the same. Can anyone post a pic of of a 172 mk 2 with original exhaust. (rare i know)
A workmate is going to check out 40k 172 cup tomorrow night, apart from the obvious is there anything to look out for? The only thing i could think of was dampers. I realise this has probably been done to death but any help would be appreciated.
Up till now with my supaguard treatment the car has been resistant to bird lime, i've been thinking of stripping off what remains and going down the zymol route, but have been a bit worried by some of the recent threads. Are there any products that are more resistant to bird lime than others?
have it on mine, if it's applied well and you can't spend a lot of time cleaning your car it's ok and it will save you a lot of elbow grease but it will not last 3 years, mine has been on for about 20 months and i think it's coming to the end of it's life. I will soon be taking mine for a...
Ok now i get the picture:) What i saw was nothing like as OTT as the american thing, it was just something to lug two "builders buckets" around at once. Now i'll go away.

I've seen a picture, on here i think, of some kind of holder that you can lug both buckets around at once but have been unable to find anyone who sells anything like it. Anyone any ideas? Thanks.
Thanks for the advice, what i thought but wanted to put my mind at ease. Further to this though i now have the people who are going to pay saying that it can be sorted with a sand and polish, anyone with any ideas

I'm having to have my rear quarter resprayed because of a small paint run,. Can anyone tell me what the prep is for this kind of respray? Will they remove the supergard treatment(which is coming to the end of it's effectiveness) and small inperfections/tar beforehand or would i be advised to get...
