I’d get some normal tyres on the car. These are tail happy as it is. IMO the weather in this country just doesn’t justify race tyres.
Will be interesting to see if all your geo bolts are free so you can do the alignment. Does the car drive straight? It’s so easy to bend the underneath of...
You say that’s but it’s well known that the last ones had engine issues. Something went wrong on the manufacturing line meaning the bottom end goes. Many have had to have new engines as a result. It’s well documented on the s2ki site. The leather quality is also questioned by owners...
The guy that owns it has only had it for 6ish months. I remember the buying thread on S2Ki. His user name is John Walker or similar.
It was bought for a similar amount of money to that of the advert. No idea why he’s selling it.
I saw a red 09 with 10k on the clock in Northwich on Saturday...
Will watch the video later.
How did you get in contact? Did you apply or did he contact you?
He seems a little clueless but comes across as a nice guy. Is that not the case?
Did he pay you to use your car?
Sorry to ask all the questions, just interested.
How is that possible? Isn’t that fraud on their part as you never actually claimed?
How do they know or can prove that your car was actually broken into? I’d been ringing them up and demanding they remove all record of the non claim claim. If they argue otherwise I’d pursue legal action. They...
Yep, unbelievable cars. Love mine to pieces. So much in fact I rarely drive it anymore in fear I’ll damage it lol. After spending so much time and money getting it right I just can bare to use it...Off the top of my head...
- Respray
- Full underseal including inner arch and sill protection...
Definitely. It’s certainly marmite.
From what I’ve read though it’s definitely leading the charge from a drivers perspective.
The infotainment system (which was the same in my mums Jazz) is also a POS.
Really enjoy your videos Mark, keep them coming.
Would love to see you drive the new Type R back to back with the RS and offer your thoughts.
Press seem to rate the CTR as the better of the two.
My Broadband is utter tripe. ADSL got me around 15mb. On fibre I’m actually pulling 10mb. Go figure.
I a fair distance from the exchange and live in the sticks but regardless my connection speeds are poor. 4G on the other hand is available in most rooms upstairs. I can pull roughly 25mb via 4G...
Personally I think it’s the nicest looking civic ever made. I can remember when it came out and most weren’t keen. The standard FN civic does look trash though.
I’ve just washed mine. Still looks fresh nearly 10 years on.
Good comparison and as expected really. I love fords but they rust to buggery in next to no time. Saying that Honda’s aren’t much better.
Nissin calipers on Honda’s drive me mad. Always seizing as they were never designed to cope with British weather.
Out of interest how does it compare with the ST220 from a drivers perspective? I can imagine the ST was a heavy lump so not as enjoyable on the boil but far better to live with day to day?
For what they are and how much they cost to buy its a difficult package to beat.
Yes the torque is an issue, so is the ride, rear visibility and paint quality but when you're on it they're a superb car. You get used to the ride very quickly.
If you want a reliable, newish, well spec'd, warm...
All in this thread fella.

Number of updates but in a nutshell...
“Well the PDR was done on the car today. We went to view it at the end of the day. It’s a 95% improvement and all that’s left is a slight ripple in the double skinned...
No crease in the dent but there is a natural crease in the body line. You can also see where the dent meets the double skin and stops (fortunately).
I missed it while it was parked up in the bay, as soon as it was driven out it was clear as day.
This is an main Audi dealer so I expect first...
Ok, here goes.
Picked up the car this morning. Looked perfect even without the Lifeshine. It was then driven out of the “unveiling bay” and bam...I noticed this:
I was told to bring it back on Tuesday for it to be repaired. As long as it’s only a PDR job I’ll accept the repair. Any filler...
Thanks for all the input everyone! Really appreciated.
Mum went back to Audi today to sign the pcp paperwork. Audi weren’t willing to apply it FOC so it was removed from the monthly cost saving my mum over £11 a month.
Based on what I’ve read here and on DW it sounds like a blessing in...
My mum is going in tomorrow to complete the finance agreement. Unfortunately I can’t attend.
Had it been me I’d play the underhand card as per Daniels comments, however, my mums a quiet soul so will probably take it on the chin.
According to those with first hand experience on DetailingWorld...
Mate, that’s so kind. I’ve got loads of high quality detailing kit such as AF rejuvenate and AF Illusion and Desire wax. I just don’t know how the Lifestyle stuff compares for quality and durability. Do you have any idea?
My mum dealt with most of the sale as I was trying to keep my 15 month...
