^ Always a plus I feel when a car has been in the hands of a CS member, at least 2 as well.
Very nice find and good luck with whatever you plan to do with it.
Since you guys are online at the moment, I had a quick look at the caf that connects the acoustic valve to the side of the standard box which is in the way for this set up of course.
Is it possible to disconnect it without taking the acoustic valve out? Had a quick attempt in the dark and it...
Looks good Chris, hows it sounding with the ramair filter, incidently which one is it? I have came across a few ramairs ranging from £18-60 with ID neck of 70mm.
Wow! Fantastic looking car you got there, wish I was in a position to buy an AM but if I had that sort of money to spend would seriously consider a Nissan GT-R ( R35 )
Wish I could go but i'm too shy and properly not free on that date but I will say this La Taverna is well worth a visit if you like Italian food, stopped there numerous times on the way up/down the A9.
Screw it, put me down as a maybe.
I'm for sure in the minority here really not keen on that size of plate.
Might never get pulled in for it but the worry would kill me and that £60 could be put toward making the car go faster/sounding better.
I bought black hole for my arctic blue, pretty sure that will do what I want it to do.
Also got some EX sealant with carnauba and natty's blue paste wax, would it be pointless putting the 2 on or just stick with the one.
Even at £3k no thanks I paid a shade over £2k for an 05 with 62k on the clock, belts done, FSH and in tidy condition just needed the wheels refurbed.
Would walk away from this one unless they drop the price at least £1k even then I doubt thats how much they paid for it at the auction.
Re: ArcticClio182...progress..
Oh right I better look into removing the CAF's.
Pretty sure I found the 90 degree induction pipe on ebay but what filter did you use? Nearest one I found was this one, not sure if it's the same as yours...
Re: ArcticClio182...progress..
I just got a v6 airbox + piperx filter last month so i'm regretting opening this up because now I need this set up..
Did you remove the standard CAF where the filter is placed behind the headlight?
Think this thread deserves a little bump, one of the more interesting reads i've had on CS for a wee while.
Really love it when families are full of petrolheads, fortunately I have a very similar family - minus the huge house.
Mine:
My initials of course, share the same name as my grandad who died the day I was born hence i'm number 2.
Also saw 'RS 3' kicking about Glasgow on an RS 6..
