These arrived today, got 14 in total but some are very similar so left a few off.
Still waiting on the large prints to arrive that I'm gonna hang on the wall. :D
Those who are eagle eyed may notice the splitter hanging off, caught it a few weeks previous on a kerb, managed to push it back...
Went up to my favourite photo location for a few pics in the sun whilst it's here.
Since FCS I've removed both of the rear window stickers and fitted powerflex bushes to the dogbone mount.
I've ordered some K-tec fixed top mounts just this afternoon as the offside mount is knocking so much...
Sadly I think I've damaged a mount today on the track from harsh throttle control at high revs. I was also using the gears to slow myself as the brakes were really sketchy which has pissed me off after spending £500 on them to get more fade than red paint in the f**king sun!
Anyway, I noticed...
Just wondering if photos are available to buy on the day from the official photographers?
I know last year we could buy them afterwards from their site.
I've bought myself a boot net and I've removed the brackets from under the front seats but when I've removed the two bolts in the boot floor I've noticed they are bigger and therefore won't fit through the holes in the brackets.
The bolts that hold them down under the seats are too thin to...
I bought some track time at FCS as soon as it went on sale and then later noticed the dedicated CS track session, is it possible I could be allocated to this?
I've emailed Mark a couple of times now but nothing has come of it. He said last time that he passed it onto someone else and they would...
Decided to go for a drive with a couple of friends to the Lake District and thought why not do Hardknott Pass, the weather was perfect.
Didn't take a whole diary of pics but all in all it was epic. We stopped off half way through for a quick one at a quiet pub and sat out in the beer garden...
Just picked these up today from Birmingham and I must say they are absolutely fantastic, they look great and they hold you really tight and snug. They've completely transformed the car tbh and I'm seriously considering harnesses now.
I think I'm going to lower it a little more tomorrow too...
The weather was great and the turnout was even better, was a surprise to see the Megane 250 there.
Not many pics from me as the location wasn't the best but the drive up there was epic.
Got the Karcher out today after it's winter hibernation and gave the arches a good blast, the amount of bugs and mud/road grime/stones that came out was terrifying. I doubt it's ever been properly cleaned underneath in it's lifetime.
I also gave the interior a vaccum and lifted up the back...
I've noticed as of late the clutch pedal seems to be creaking and I'm pretty sure it's getting louder, it creaks when pressing and de-pressing the pedal.
Am I looking at a new cable?
This has been ongoing since I fitted the coilovers at a silly low height (or lack of) with rather extreme camber.
However that's all sorted now had a full setup etc but the box is still leaking (albeit only slightly) from the n/s driveshaft.
There is no visible damage from the outside and...
Went out for a spin this afternoon and I just had to take a few pics. It's had a full setup this morning and it feels better than it ever has, the tyres don't even seem too bad now, I can really push it round the bends.
Also had a decat fitted to cure a blowing exhaust, sounds nice and deep...
Right I need a place in the N/W area that can do a proper setup, not fussed about corner weighing but Camber is a must!
The front end is all over the place atm and highly unpredicatble, any help will be appreciated.
Just noticed this morning whilst I was checking for oil under the car I noticed fumes coming from the exhaust right on the bend before the cat.
I put it off as I thought some oil might have got on it but I've just checked now with the engine and exhaust being warm by sticking my hand on it and...
Took the best part of all day to fit them and I'm absolutely knackered, I've not even had chance to road test it yet as I've just tidied up and then came in and collapsed on the couch.
Not the best pics as the light was starting to fade but you get the idea.
They were a lot easier to fit...
Picked up the much needed splitter and an offside wheel arch today so I fitted them promptly.
Xenons and silvervisions were fitted on Saturday too. :)
Quick question, where on earth can I get some Bosch Aerotwin wipers that will retro fit the clio?
Still waiting for Kam Racing to...
I'm after a set of coilovers but I'm not sure which set to go for so just after advice on which ones are good for the money.
I'm looking at spending no more than about £600 on a set.
Are there any that are good but not crashy? I had Apex springs and shocks on my last clio so anything softer...
I wasted no time in giving the new cup a wash and dry and then off to a location for pics.
I absolutely love the car to bits, everything about it is awesome. It can skip past everyone else on the road so easily! I'm not sure if it's the mileage but the build quality just seems ten times more...
After much trial and error I finally spotted one which was local to me just 12 miles away and looked a minter so I went to view it today heres the specs:
Blue
52 plate
40,000 miles
Taxed till end of May
11 months MOT
Cambelt done last year
Serviced late last year
New clutch
4 new tyres
MINT...
I spot you every day in the carpark at work but today you were about 3 cars ahead going down Fleetwood Road North at about ten past three, looked like you went to the doctors? I was heading to the pub! :rasp:
Flamer looks mint as always pal.
To my surprise I spotted Wiggle behind me going down the 40 road leading out of Fleetwood just past the Shell garage, took me ages to recognise you, I thought you were the Police at first with the lights on and running close to my behind.
Only knew it was you when you gave me the thumbs up and...
Well that time of year again my insurance renewal quote came through today and the drop in price is immense, it's gone from £1,200 to £540.
1 years no claims really makes a big difference and maybe being 21 aswell?
Anyway I decided to get a quote with my existing company as I've not been...
Had a catch up with a friend who I don't see often due to him being down south most of the time and decided to give the motors a quick wash and get some pics. I can't stop taking them with my new camera.
Counting down the days now, couple of the mods including...
Weather is good so I had to take advantage, not before going out for a quick early morning spin though.
The lens is slightly moist due to the fog so they aren't amazing but they were all taken using manual settings, I'm getting to know what does what now and how each setting affects the...
Got a new camera that arrived on thursday, bought it off a guy off here, it's a Nikon D70, my first DSLR.
I've been whoring pics in the last few days and obviously couldn't resist taking some of the Clio. Still playing with settings and just trying to find what works best, any tips or advice...
Not cleaned it in a few weeks now and it's starting to show. These could well be the last pictures I'll be taking of the car aswell. I think this is quite possibly the dirtiest it's been since I've owned it.
More snow expected on Sunday. :dapprove:
Fitted this morning, decided to leave the compbrake top mounts as I couldn't be bothered with the hassle of dropping the struts, they won't go to waste though, I'll keep em for the 172.
In case anyone is wondering it is purely cosmetic, simply screwed in.
