and if that hasn't put you off, coil packs seem to fail regularly on them, all though not astronomically expensive.
Body panels are so extortionate it'll make your eyes water, and wheels cost a small fortune if you ever need to replace one!

In regards to what to look out for, service history is a good start, make sure the cambelt has been changed by either Renault, or a specialist, as they are commonly timed up wrong.
How fucked are we talking? Last time I saw it with n0rm, it needed the gearbox sorting?

You probably won't be able to see it, because of corrosion, but the handbrake cable passes through a metal sleeve which just needs bashing out, with a screwdriver/chisel and hammer.

But yes, Renault are extortionatly over priced on certain parts. They sell cheap cars, but expensive parts, guess where they make their money.
That hairpin, and the 2nd hairpin in the middle of the track were a nightmare. Kart always bogged down and was so slow to get back up to speed :dapprove:
