Re: Lion 10.7.2
yeah mine has been too Danny, even rang BT as it looked like my line was being throttled, still not convinced its not tbh.
I did the same Adam, but made no difference :(
I work with Vista through my working day, nuff' said!
Although I do like windows, going to be installing Win7 at the weekend via Bootcamp so I can get AutoCAD onto my MacBook.
Re: www.iCloud.com
Worked fine on my Vista machine, synced all my contacts, mail, calendar appointements etc. Find my iPhone worked fine also. although I sneeked a copy of iOS5 this morning as I couldn't be bothered to wait lol.
Makes 100% sense if you need more space etc. I'll admit, I'm the opposite with keyboard position, I love that my hands are nearly flat :)
Sounds like you made the right choice though, you'll love it :)
My other half will want the iPhone 4 now as hopefully the prices will reduce.
Does anybody know if O2 are going to drop their prices? currently, compared to the 4S the phone cost works out more for the 4!?
Arseholes!! I was wondering why that option had disappeared! I was one over £40 until I dropped it a few months back. oh well they obviously don't want our money!
Got to wait until the 24th Nov to upgrade now, by which time i'm going to go on the simplicity tariff and sack of the thought of...
Reading reviews for the last two weeks and then finally testing it out for myself yesterday at apple, when you're looking at 13" MBA vs MBP the only real difference is the user replaceable ram and HDD but as said you can change the SSD in the MBA, not as cheap as a standard 2.5" but its do-able...
I've just today bought a MBA, can thoroughly recommend it tbh. the screen is far better and crisper than the horrible reflective one on the MBP.
Yes its not as user serviceable as the MBP but tbh the spec of this will be perfect for a couple of years, by which time I'll swap it out for the next...
Agreed, iPlayer and 4OD will be very useful, I only had access via a JB Apple TV but I've since restored so have no access anymore.
The 360 version will be slick too hopefully :)
O2 need to extract their fingers from their arseholes and get them on the pulse! crazy to be left straggling behind when voda and tmob have prices up! its always the same with O2, they f**k it up!
True, I'm not saying it's a bad idea, I think it's a good idea. Looking at it more closely though I can't justify the initial outlay when I'm in the Market for a MacBook. I'm probably going to stay with my 4 and go simplicity at the end of november unless o2's deals are amazing when they release...
Yeah but if you commit to 12 months the 5 may come out in June then you've got to upgrade early or change the contract.
That's why it's easier to do 1 month simplicity with the option to upgrade straightaway. Plus I was looking for the cheapest route.
Tbh Giffgaff is the cheapest route bar...
Rang O2 earlier to get an idea of prices for the 4S by using the 4 as a basis for a 12 month tariff on contract.
12 month 100 mins 500 texts @ £21 + £6 500mb bolt on = £27p/m - handset cost £429 = total £753
If you go the cheapest simplicity route 1 month rolling for 12 months;
12 month 100...
The carriers wont be doing pre-ordering, they didn't last year so I wouldn't bet on them doing it this year.
I just want to know what pricing they will be doing so I can sort my figures out.
