this video is'nt the one but it's near ...
it does'nt show him using the heel on the brake, shame....
This is/ could be endless discussion hahahaha
plenty of nice cars to buy, definately ! This is about making something special that no-one else has... and leaving other cars behind that just simply wo'nt/can't believe what's happening to them when going for it . I like the way the Cup, on good...
Yep, small turbo. It's almost instantly there, almost instant power i'd say. But you know any turbo takes time to give power, so does this one. The exhaust has to get it going so first you hit the throttle and little after it starts to spinnnn
mind you, they set it up with a...
is'nt heel and toe when you're braking with the (right foot) heel meanwhile hitting the throttle with your toes (same foot) and doing the clutch with your left foot ? All at the same time ?
I ca'nt find the link of the Ragnotti video, it's wild !
In this matter he takes those corners in...
toe and heel ? Look at some of the Jean Ragnotti videos , that's toe and heel mate ;)
getting the rpm right for the next gear is not toe and heel-ing.
It's quite difficult...
Update !
It was a 200km drive to Maurice at MB, after which some good coffee and time for chat, questions and explanation.
Interesting fact about the car they built; it's a full option one (172 mk2) with airco, esp, side-airbags, and some more things i might forget to mention (seats are...
You're the one with the thread of the year, fitting this is absolutly peanuts for you :D
When you have the tools then it should be an easy fit with manual and all ..
Well, this thursday will be a test for ME, see how drivability is maintained/enhanced to my experience. We will probably be taking her to some of the dutch (always flat !) curvy backroads of south-east Holland, which are the roads to check out it's torque, hitting it hard coming out of curves...
i was wondering about this myself, want to get an H+R setup. These can be slightly adjusted without the bolts. Supposably This will be absolutely fine/great for road use. When you're going to track her, you'll be wanting the bolts because of the higher degree of camber which you can adjust...
Kind of late mate, 2 or 3 threads discussing this already ;)
I'm having a spin in their converted RS this Thursday. Testing is all done , it has withstood the track-thrashing so now they're comfortable selling it. A product which they are strongly enthousiastic about !
I will defo post up...
There's the mount under the battery, there's a long pin (?) connected to the box, this is known to also loosen in time. This can only be tightened from below the car , size 18 nut.
I'm telling you what i've read , have not yet done this myself. I'm far from expert on cars :o
Having the...
Maurice also told me about the 200nm warranty, probably warning me to take it easy with the conversion. He has not yet told me of any problems with the box while testing though..
Maybe make your car extremely lightweight ! and your box wo'nt be having as much punnishment !?
hm... gets you thinking eh Jess ?
Fred, what about the clutch ? or is this as sensitive as all of the other parts in the box ? (synchro etc.)
btw I never use the box to slow down, cause never on track:) .. rather use/abuse the brakes because these are easier + cheaper to change
Thanks Fred
is this the one with the long pin connecting to the gearbox ? Are there more parts to be bought within this complete mount ?
(is it the complete one we're talking about or just the top one you see when removing battery)
