Phase 1 172. On buying this car the front fogs did not work. Closer inspection fuse blown. Replace fuse and it blows immediately. Before i get the meters out is this a common problem ? Where do i start ?

Local supplier has GAZ rear struts available at £59 a piece. How do these compare to standard fitment which i was originally going for ? I believe the Renault items are about the same price but GAZ are adjustable in compression and rebound. Any thoughts ?

I have just fitted a new PE2 195/50/15 to the rear nearside of my Phase 1 172. On right handers the tyre is catching the arch liner. Is this normal ? The tyre does look wider than the Pilot sx ( also 195/50/15 ) which was on previously. Is this normal ? There is a very small gap whn the car is...

I have a phase 1 172 with a problem with the central locking. For some reason the locking activates randomly while driving the car. Switch on panel shows doors to be locked. I unlock but then sometime later it relocks itself. Any ideas? Not sure if it also unlocks itself - not had the car long.

Got a quote from Renault for a front bumper for a Mk 1 172. Only £550 + painting + vat :o After talking to Cliospares i was told that Renault increased the price on 1st March from £150. How can they justify the price hike !
