I think F4R A8P8 is the F4R 832 engine, which is the Clio 200 engine I think. Should go in the 197 though, but I'm sure someone more knowledgeable will be along soon.
The system needs a specific weight of refrigerant in to function, not pressure (yes it relies on pressure to function but pressure alone won't make it work properly) Those kits shouldn't be sold in my opinion. £40-60 to get it vacuumed and refilled with the correct amount.
My understanding is that the issue with fitting a 197/200 engine is that the gearbox bolt holes on the block are different, so folk tend to use a 182 block with 197/200 head.
Maybe just see what they are like first, before assuming they are fucked? If you use the right tools they will come out. Torx bit in an impact driver and I'm sure they will come out. Failing that vice grips as already suggested. Shouldn't be any need to drill them out if done properly.
Does the engine turn over, or does it just click when you turn the key? As already asked, were you with him at the time? Sounds like he could have money shifted it 3rd to 2nd instead of 3rd to 4th!
I've never used it, but the Litchi app offers this function I think. I use Litchi with my Mini SE to get some more features (follow me mode etc) but I've not tried using the Litchi Vue app yet.
