Best coilovers for a 172 cup, £500 ish budget?

The cage will make it stiffer - but be aware it will transfer the stresses to other parts of the car - so you will need everything upgraded - bushes, top mounts - the lot

    To strip...or not to strip...

It is a tough one. I have probably had about 8 stripped ones, and 22 ones with interior still in. Stripping my Williams engined 16v mk1 took my 1/4 mile time from 14.2/14.3 @96mph to 14.0 @100mph all day long, so to gain that amount over 1/4 mile is actually quite tough. So yes, it makes a...

    Standard shocks vs koni adjuatable?

Legend! thank you - I understand the Cups have the stiffer rear shockers and I'd hate to think I had the number wrong and was supplying softer shockers than customers were expecting! I'm confident I would be able to sell these for about £40
  16. R

    Standard shocks vs koni adjuatable?

@MarcR™ - Cheers mate, so that is definitely a Cup version shock, not a normal 172/182 rear shock?

    Standard shocks vs koni adjuatable?

Yes, 172 cup shocks (As far as I am aware) fit all Clio 172 and 182s excluding the 182 cup and cup packed cars and the Trophy. Does anyone have a part number for rear shockers for 172 Cups? I am trying to see what I can sell them for. I can also get Koni if it helps mate, I can usually only do...

Best coilovers for a 172 cup, £500 ish budget?

I did have some KW V2 coilovers on a Ph1 Exclusive I had years ago and being honest it was really comfortable - stiffer than standard but if kept at a sensible setting they were comfortable and improved handling. But then again they were £1100 so you would expect it lol

Whiteline Rear ARB / Sway Bar For Road Use? | Clio 182

The tighten up the rear end a bit basically. I have done about 30k of road/track driving with a rear ARB on Clio's and I personally like it - it tends to make the front a little pointier - I like it
