I would agree the edc probably is quicker. I wonder if round a tight track the 182 would be quicker? I think it personally would be.
You also have to rememeber the price of the edc compared to a 182 lol
Hi Steve,
Do you think it could just be that you've perhaps got used to the power and the delivery and it's just not feeling as quick as before?
Are you still getting decent enough MPG and the temperature needle coming up correctly to halfway?
What kind of noise? You'll hundred percent hear...
Lol, I was in a black focus estate and stopped dead next to you about 2 inches away, I didn't know what I was going to say and my Mrs said i looked like a pedo so I just went hahahahahaha was amazingly awkward
@leeds_182 saw this parked up last night going out of brayton. Was quite dark but I could tell a mile off it was yours by the rear lights, looked beast!
That is the only picture I have, sorry it's s**t! Haha.
Tbh mate the ABS does f**k all. The power of the brakes seems to overwhelm it haha!
Use anti squeal shims, although I'm sure the pads I used had them on anyway. Copper grease the f**k out of the back of the pads. I used mintex anti squeal...
Get a DAS 6 pro and learn to machine polish.
A good shine comes from scratch free, smooth paint. A clean corrected car will look shinier wearing a coat of cheap wax than a car that needs a Polish wearing everyou glaze, sealant and million pound wax.
Pms brackets are awesome. So we'll made. Mega dear for that they are though.
Talk to George RTR for discs and pads.
I went for 300mm brembo discs and mintex m1144 pads.
The stopping power is absolutely stupid it literally rips off your face, providing your suspension and tyres allow you to...
Make sure you put a piece of wood on the jack to spread the weight. You undo the 4 nuts holding the mount to the car, the nut through the middle of the mount and the 3 or 4 on the cam cover near the car.
They need torquing to 62nm I think. f**king tight basically. It's like a 20 minute job...
197 callipers are a massive improvement. Have you sorted brackets, retaining clips and pads? You'll also need some new discs. 300mm Is the way forwards as won't need the callipers machining.
50 cal cover up is better than black hole. I find autofinesse ultra glaze incredible too.
Personally I'd be having a go by hand with autofinesse Triple. Tbh it's the thing you need really. Then you could glaze over that. If you're putting all the effort into glazes you must wax or ideally seal...
