bit of a long shot i know, but does anyone in the exeter area have a spare 172 injector? if i could get a new one this evening it would save me having to cycle in to work for the next couple of days!
the question is quite vague, and doesn't specify the exact type of undercarriage leg, but a lot of the principles are the same. compressed air would be used in place of a spring to absorb impact
so you would agree in that the oil's job is to slow down the movement of the shock absorber, not to absorb the initial impact? of course the oil doesnt just damp the rebound, it would damp the initial compression too
Technically im talking about aircraft undercarriages here, but the principle is the same
i have a practice question for an exam tomorrow. the question asks what the function of the oil in a shock absorber is. is it to damp the rebound, or absorb the landing shock?
the mock exam answer sheet is...
good guide, but my buzzing came from the sensor vibrating against the plastic housing, not from the fan itself. if you drop the sensor and leave it dangling from the wires, its completely silent
its the climate control temp sensor. mine does it too. its the sound of the fan inside vibrating against the plastic cover, and i cant seem to make is shut up
i ordered a black rubber case off amazon for about a fiver. certainly doesnt look as nice, but its better than scratches. i'd already dropped it a few times at work
lol, no i dont. its a s**t shaped pocket on the side of my knee, and bending my knee makes it dig in
that 1-2 weeks thing is rubbish. mine turned up next day
ideally, the head wants to come off to fit a helicoil. it'll drop swarf down into the chamber otherwise. i wouldnt send it to a mechanic, i'd get the head off and take it to an engineering place. a decent helicoil set isnt particularly cheap either
where in devon are you? i know someone in...
im trying to convert from V Maxx coilovers to cup shocks and eibach springs. ive bought 2 spring pans, and the 2 large rubber top mounts. ive already got ktec top mounts, but they dont seem to want to work together properly
i assume there should be a large washer and nut holding the large...
i'd be interested to know if it still works okay without the fan. mine is completely silent if it is just left dangling off the wire, it only makes a noise when its fitted in place. no amounts of foam dampen the vibration out
i seem to be getting knocking from the rear suspension on my car, and on inspection im really not happy with the rear top mount bushes. there was a rear strut brace fitted which has not done the bushes any good at all
im assuming the V Maxx bushes are different to the originals? where could i...
i had this exact problem tonight. worked this afternoon, then wouldnt have it at all later. i stuck the key in, held the lock button and turned the key. the car beeped, and the key worked :)
