Road tyres are s**t on track they over heat after 1 lap and go all soft and the car will be a lot less controllable which is a lot less fun. I reckon I'd destroy a set if road tyres on track within a day whereas semi slick track tyres last me a few days.

Anyone tried running michelin cups on a clio? By far the best track tyre I've used on other cars.

Whatever you do don't ring them up and tell them you've sold the car or they will give you 14 days then cancel the policy. Sell your car but don't tell them. Buy your new car when your ready then ring them and ask to change car in your policy.

No idea mate just a normal 172, I'm not sure what cup pack means lol...and if I have to swap hubs i'll just leave the standard shocks maybe look at coilovers instead then.

Well here it is... very impressed with it. It's loads better condition than the flame red 172 and the blue 172 cup id previously looked at and this one cost me nearly 700 less :)

Well i've won one on ebay and hopefully picking it up tomorrow :) It's a ph2 in Monaco blue which I think looks really nice on the clios. Looking for some nice wheels and lower suspension now lol. Do I have to become a paid up member on here to view the for sale section?

Wish there was some good cars for sale in north east. Been to look at 2 and they were pretty poor not been looked after at all :(

Cheers G 172 I'm going to try and look at a few local ones today a cup and two ph2 172's. One is standard and one has got questionable mods for my taste but ill see when I get there.

Cheers mate, yeah I've seen some bargains 172/182's ranging from 1000-3500 I dont see the point in paying 3500 for one i'd rather have a high miler for 1200 quid lol.
