In an attempt to defend the 'drag race' lol, it was a 60k gearbox and when I got it at 30k I'm not sure of the life it had (written off clio might be an indication of a hard life). I have done 2 years of drag racing summers in it though. The refurb was pricey and still makes me wince to think...

I wouldn't mind coming to this although my recent gearbox refurb cost me £589 today as a result of last years drag days lol. Will have a think and see if I can make it :)

Re: Clio sport convertion! In that case. Busted. If he was smart he'd get that sorted. If you want the engine then be prepared to pay for the extra insurance that comes with it.

Re: Clio sport convertion! It will do. The car is converted, not a 172/182. I haven't read the rest of the thread if I'm being honest but all I'll add is - insure it correctly. It's not worth it not to declare the engine and sanding off the Renault sport on the inlet doesn't count lol.
