I think I'd be trying something different then if they need machining or thinner bolts.
You can get Team Dynamics Jet's for £269 on Wheelbase here, which are other's I've been considering since Christmas.
Silver are £260.
Are the not stamped 'Ravs' and 'Oram Lights'
It's certainly a good effort though! haha
I've been tempted by a set myself as they're dirt cheap really and look pretty decent. I do have concerns over how strong they'd be though!
In fact, the more I think about it the more I'm swaying towards the Eibach Sportlines. I think that's what I will give a go unless the H&R are a comparable price.
Thanks for posting that Toby
Can you get away without spacers on the Cooksports do you think? I don't fancy running spacers to be honest, but obviously don't want any rubbing issues.
Thank you for the comments. That sounds good to me so thank you for the feedback. Have you been out on track in them as well?
Thanks as always Carl. I'll have to do some serious thought. It's good to see different springs getting good reviews and not really getting a bashing from anyone. It's...
Thank you very much for the photos everyone
I've got H&R's on the X at the moment and they have a nice drop and improve the roll nicely. What's the cheapest anyone has seen the H&R's for?
The H&R's look a similar drop to the Eibach from the above photos, and the Cooksports drop a little...
I've had a quick look on the forum but can't find any photos to look at the two different drops from the springs compared to OEM. Does anyone have a photo of a standard car before and after the fitting of either the Cooksports or Eibach Sportlines please?
I really can't decide what to go for...
More parts and tools today, only a hub puller and some of the newer style top mounts. I think it'll be struts and springs next, but I'm not sure what to go for on that front. I can't decide between the Cook Sport and Eibach. More research required!
Still no fitting/fixing progress, that seems like far too much effort in this grim weather. More parts have arrived though thanks to @George@RTR_Parts, it was a great service from him, thanks George
I've gone for:
Front Brembo HC discs
Front DS2500 pads
Rear Renault Discs (with...
I've used Gyeon Q2 RIM Sealant on some wheels and that has been very impressive. The brake dust and general grime can soon be removed with very little agitation. It's well worth a look as it's long lasting too.
The car looks well. I'll look forward to following your progress with it . There can't be many 182's out there with exhausts that look perfectly in align .
I started to swap the front lambda sensor today but didn't realise how tight the bloody access was. I need to get the axel stands a little higher to be able to see underneath properly but the sills aren't filling me with confidence! If only I had a proper lift!
I didn't have much time before...
The lambda sensor has arrived as well as some replacement wiper blades bought from ECP. I've had to buy another spanner as I'd seen that the sensor was 22mm and the biggest I had was 19mm - hopefully these will do the job.
I'm getting quite a to do list!
Thanks @magic354, I think fibreglass really would have helped out to be honest. You can't see the crack at all now but if I do go back to sort it properly I'll be doing that
