Blast from the past - Windows XP - Free games/education stuff?

I built a retro gaming machine for me and my daughter, we enjoy going up the town and buying games from CEX, loads of 90s and 2000s games for £1 on a half shelf at the back of the store!! loads of forgotten gems! EDIT: As per the RC Car thread, there is probably a lot more time and money...

    Air-con randomly coming on?

my 197 has a noisy AC compressor and this is the first time I've experienced this (due to actually being able to hear it!) its a climate controlled car so when the AC is on, it displays AC on the screen, it seems to have a bug that when you press the demist button which puts fans to max and AC...

172 Cup. Investment? Where are prices going?

Agree with that, if you want a car to enjoy and not loose money on it's not a bad move, I wouldn't call it an investment though.

172 Cup. Investment? Where are prices going?

I had a really tidy/genuine one, although a bit higher miles and sold it about 6yrs ago, think I eventually got £1500 for it after a month or more of advertising

    Underside of Spoiler pictures please

Yeah they use shorter gas struts which were apparently a fortune but I'm sure people use a BMW 1 series strut which was cheap and fits, there will be a part no somewhere. Yeah connection is the same on all the spoilers for the brake lights
  18. Martin_172

    Underside of Spoiler pictures please

as above absolutely fine without them they just locate it. just make sure its sitting nice and square and all the shut lines are good before giving it a final torque (dont need to go tight with them, seen people crack them)

    DCI 100 rear handbrake cables

Had a search but can't find anything, is there a known brand/part number for pattern part items? I remember the hassle I had years ago with mine when I needed one. Got a rear setup for my RSI to fit and need a pair of cables!

    Virgin existing customer deals?

I called up yesterday, hence my rant above 😂 was paying £36 a month for 250Mb after price increases etc. Seen the new customer deal of 250Mb for £17 pm. Went round the houses with them kicking off as the best solution they could offer me to my saying £36 is too expensive was a package with an...

    Virgin existing customer deals?

I dont understand why they cant make a change for consumers like they did with car insurance where you cant offer cheaper deals to new customers than you can existing customers. Surely its better for the consumer as everyone gets a fair price Its better for the companies as they don't need all...

    Rear engine mount

Just use the 172 mount with the powerflex bushes they are the same fitment. Later ones had them as standard
  30. Martin_172

    Rear engine mount

The powerflex bushes completely solve the issue with excess movement but add in all the vibration that the rubber is there to solve. Never tried the silicon method but it may be a good half way house. As above genuine replacement is a good solution but IMO it's worth doing at the same time as...
