Never say never mate. Does my head in some times. Love driving it quickly but thats the only way it can be driven now. Sometimes i think that things would be easier with something newer and tunable
In its current state it was dyno'd at 157bhp. Please remember this car doesnt weigh alot either.
Talking to its previous owner and there have been words said about even more power later in its life. but we shall see :D
Yes mate, im going. Engine wont be in but the interior will be finished by then. Ive still got no chance against Simon's mk2 but i'm not in to win anything this year. Just glad i got the car to this stage tbh.
It'll be stripped fully when i can get the dollar to have the floor sprayed properly. Dont forget the weight saving that has gone on - (no sound deadening at all now, interior loom thinned out and cut down, brackets cut out etc) Its not a heavy weight at all ;)
Plus the new lump is going to...
Thanks Tim
If i could change the title i would. Dont think i can class it as oem anymore. Not with 4pots, corbeau seat, this engine etc

Gti Leather and Black door cards;
Just need another Corbeau now.

The black top 8v lumps started life with a embarresing 90bhp. Id say my current engine is pretty much there due to its recent rebuild, so its a fair jump in such a light weight hatch. And power delivery is something completely different.
Id love to start playing with pistons and rods next year...
Feel free mate, just give me a text. Its a bit grubby at the moment but ill be changing that! The work on the head and bodies is stunning, its amazing how much time and effort Sandy puts into the bodies and inlet manifold to.
Its defintaly the best 8v on bodies i know of. Once its up and running i may look for more power, can be achieved with rods,pistons and a mad cam. With a rev limit around 9k, id hope to see near the 170/180 mark eventually but its very fresh ground as no one really pushes 8v's that much. Id like...
MrN Saxo Thread. ITB's - Corbeau - OMP & More
