One of the main problems with Windows is due to its popularity. My mother-in-law is forever having problems with Windows, slow down, popups, IE crashes. This is nothing to do with the O/S its completely her own doing, she downloads games from random sites, most of which are loaded with spyware...
Depends on how you define dominated, Windows overtook Unix in terms of sales last Feb according to a report from IDC with Linux is making large strides also.
Very rare for major companies to lose a server due to hacking whether Linux, Unix or Windows based. This isn't the 80's.
I think you should maybe reread my responses, I haven't told anyone to move to Windows. I've given my reasons for not using Linux and I feel they are valid.

So its reno's fault people drive like dicks in bad weather conditions? Whoever was driving that cup fucked up, luckily there was a fence there and no mother and child walking along the pavement....
Does anyone have a reference to this fault in Reno's Actis system. I mentioned it when I took the car in for a service and they told me they couldn't find anything wrong with the alarm. Its starting to piss me off....
Change the name of your server, quickest solution if theres another machine with the same name that you don't control, you could add an entry to the hosts files on the 2000 box but this will only resolve the name resolution issues for that machine.
