Remove the angel eyes, the stupid tongue, change your exhaust for a single exit recessed into the bumper and space your number plate legally. Then you'll have a very tidy car mate.
In what way was the programme boring? For atleast 4 years now TG has been more of an entertainment programme than an all out motoring show.
Its either that or watch Tiff Needel and Plato have a drift off for 5 minutes, now thats boring.
Just enjoy it for what it is mate and then move up the ladder. Sounds like you've got an enthusiasm for cars, and believe me if you save up, you move up the ladder alot quicker, and it feels better.

Not particularly. Like I said, I never use it, mainly because I cba, but also because 90% of my journeys are no more than 5 miles. My car is lucky if if it does 40 miles in a week.
Haven't used the car today, although I was in the van and I used the aircon.
In my car I've used it once when I had passengers and we were on a motorway, therefore I used it. For me MPG is a big factor in if I use it, especially as I only do very short journeys anyway.
