Yeah id suggest coilovers. Ive done the spring route, didnt end well.. now on coillies. The ride i cant really tell you about to be fair.. mines so low i can almost feel every bump in the road :L but i dont care. Im not an old man with a bad back, it doesnt bother me. Also it makes the car feel...
Fair enough, yeah not a bad price that at all! Are you after just some springs or a set of coilovers? springs, 35mm would probably do you tbh... whereas if you're after coillies just buy them and then play around with the height once fitted :)
Looks nice, still prefer smaller wheels though i think :o each to their own though! god i'd love a set of those wheels.. how much did they cost you? definatly needs lowering :P
Sweet cheers :) But yes mate, 35mm springs may be your best bet. Funnily enough the coilovers I brought were off of a guy who had it setup perfectly for his which was on 17's. The adjuster was nearly at the top! You won't be able to lower much unfortunately, that's why I prefer smaller wheels...
I dont know if this is of any help but i had an issue with mine about 2 months back. It would judder and hold back when i was accelerating in all gears until i was higher in the revs. It would also pop and bang and generally run like a heap of s**t just on tickover! A mate of mine told me it was...
I had mine lowered just on some 60mm spaxx springs for about 5 months... inevitably, the shocks went and now i have coilovers. Mines sitting roughly 75mm front 70mm rear, but its on 15's. Sam, you have any pics of yours on the 17's? interested in seeing what it looks like :) and an answer to...
Was literally just about to ask this, just noticed the thread had been kinda over run lol. Il be there :) Forgotten how many people are listed down as coming.
Not a bad price that tbh? could rent one for a month or 2 and get on with breaking it and getting the parts sold? when my mate unfortunatly wrote off his bmw 328 m sport (sad times :( ) , he broke it within a month and had practically everything that could be sold, sold. Has the engine sitting...
Very smart! Wish my bonnet was carbon, it's just in black primer ATM :/ had no choice but to buy it though as I was in need of a bonnet fast. Was considering carbon wrapping it but I'm unsure on what il do with it ATM. The black has grown on me through! Just wana get myself a skoda splitter and...
Yeah i agree with this, im not going to be doing anything else really with the car tbh. Reason behind modding it? same as every one my age i suppose who is interested in cars - wanted to have a go at making it unique, wanted to try some new things out, but above all else because insurance is SO...
Is there anybody attending this meet that are interested in buying some 60mm Spax lowering springs? Let me know before next weekend and il bring them along. Cheers
Dont know what to suggest really tbh michael :/ do you have a driveway? Just chuck it on there and take bits off as people buy them and leave it under a car cover? Running out of ideas lol
Isnt it being kept at your work? , break it and store the parts there? i mean i reckon you could make up more money on the engine, interior and wheels alone, compared to what you'd get for the whole car
I hate reading about cars being vandalised / stolen. I cant believe there are people like that in the world tbh, such lowlife scum! I hope you get the car back safe and sound mate
Drums were always going black, I totally agree about them looking poor in any other colour! There's a blue mg zr going round here with blue drums. Looks horrible!
Well I've done them in blue, quite a nice deep blue and done the drums on rear in black. Happy with it tbh but It is a shame that you can't see much of the blue seeing as the wheels don't have many spokes. Looks good though :) can see myself changing to black in the future but for the meantime...
So so gutted for you mate, seriously am. I hope you get what you want for it anyway. I think it'll be difficult to sell in its current state though - have you considered breaking it? thats how you'll get the most out of it.
