Car is now SOLD
Hadn't expected to sell it but other life priorities arose and as always, the fun stuff is first on the list to move on!
Car went to a good dude who is an obvious car enthusiast - sure he will pop up on here at some point.
Thanks for following, I'll be back :)
Thanks Simon, appreciate the comments mate
I understand the preference for silver wheels & original side strips - I have the front side strips & will source the rears just to give it a try.
Even though I'm really happy with the grey wheels, there is no doubt in my mind they will be silver...
Only a minor update, and might not have anything worthwhile sharing for a while - So here's some pictures of how it's sitting today, plus some comparison shots vs before.
Exhaust Update
Hated the sound of the exhaust, it was loud, droney, it was overly raspy and crackled like mad to a point I...

Hey guys,
Having an issue where both key fobs need re-syncing regularly, they then work for a short while (locking & unlocking the car) before losing their 'memory' and are unable to activate/deactivate the car central locking until I re-sync the keys by holding down the interior central...
Hey @DLX - Awesome thread, gave me some great ideas for mine.
Can you remember what colour code you opted for the wheel refurb mate? need to do mine soon :)
Hey @Poonmobile - Yeah man, Leon remembers them being there too.. I suspect they were taken off when some timing belt/pulley work was done and not put back in!
Nightmare, because they're like fricken gold dust to find these days, and expensive as hell if you do
I can make a bee-line and pop...
Legend @DLX , helpful as always mate.
Exhaust - Yeah I heard the KTEC unsilenced one was loud, I'm just looking for a sporty tone. Currently have a standard exahust fitted with a Koby resonator installed on the mid pipe. It's not overly loud, but it certainly sounds interesting. I wonder if the...

Hey @gudger12345, got these this weekend.. whilst doing it it dawned on my that you might be after the brackets that sit above the sill.. in which case, I can still get for you but will be a few weeks when I pull mine off - sorry!
Couldn't see any holes in the sill on the picture you posted...
Hey Gudger
Is it just the height of the rivet holes on the sill you're after? Cars in the bodyshop atm, but happily measure them up when it's back this weekend if no1 else comes through for you before hand mate
Hey man, That's awesome.
Will do my best! Things already progressing quite quickly in terms of parts ordered and plans, just need to be mindful of the impact on the wallet haha, these Clio sports have a nack of doing that to ya!
Joined the NZ Renault sport page, can see that being quite...
Lovely car - As someone who has also just picked up a P1.. I look forward to following this build, it'll no doubt provide me some inspiration :)
My P1 also has the apex springs.. and I spent the weekend researching what I'm going to replace them with.. so this comment made me laugh @PBandA...
Thanks guys, will be quiet on the update front for 2 weeks whilst the car is in the bodyshop getting the roof/spoiler done
@DLX - Read my mind! I have already emailed colourlock to see if they offer the Blue Renault, looks like they don't stock it here in NZ (but do in Aus), but I'll figure...
Great build @KitsonRis, I’m a bit late to the party but enjoyed flicking through all 5 pages mate - lovely work.
Can I ask, earlier in the build you painted the centre console around the stereo, how did you remove it? I need to do mine.. had a look at removing it the other day and looked to be...
