Just up from the Nook behind the new ship pub, theres a renault specialist in east boldon that does all the work on my car, they might charge a bit more though, other than that theres a little back yard garage behind green lane chippy that fitted my springs for me for very little. Pm me if you...
Im going to have a look into it, and its very close so a big advantage. I still prefer the idea of an RS though. Ive seen this going on pistonheads, anybody know it?

Yeah mate i dont do many miles at all, so im not worried about an older car. The cup is exactly what im looking for to be honest, its clean and looks to have been looked after to a very high standard, i can see it going quick though so may have to see if i can stretch the budget. Also i hadnt...
Within the next couple of weeks I'm hoping to shift the 1.6 and replace it with something else, ive always wanted an RS and at the minute its most likely il be looking at a ph1. My budget is around 2k which should see me get a decent ph1 or a less well looked after ph2. However, other than these...
This was up for sale few weeks back, i nearly had it at a ridiculously low price. Only thing is, it had a front end bump, dont know how serious, but has new bumper as the girl described when asked.
Just got it back from the garage, turns out it was that the wire from the ecu to the relay switch had coroded, meaning the fan wasnt coming on. All sorted now though hopefully.
Yeah the heaters still blow hot like, and as for the fan not kicking in that was my guess, as at motorway speeds/moving at a pace temperature stays low. As for coolant, thats all been replaced, car overheated and blew it out again! Fcuk sake ha. I think it could be the fan, i hope anyway, rather...
I've had a search through some previous threads about people having problems with overheating in traffic and other over heating problems, however didn't find anything conclusive that could help.
My situation: Went to the big weekend in carlisle last week, got stuck in loads of traffic coming...
Keep an eye out on the for sale section in here, youl have to sign up and become a paid member though. As for improvements, i wouldnt bother trying to gain any extra power, its a money pit. best thing to do is some better springs/coilovers. If not, strip it out and itl feel quicker.
Good work, itl look spot on when its finished like mate. Kudose for doing it all yourself too. What bodyshop you taking it too? Could reccomend one if need be
Saw this car again heading through cleadon, into station garage. Got a better look this time, looked like it had had either silver turinis or other multispoke silver alloys. Along with an exhaust that stuck out a tad. Lovely car.
