How long was your race? Below a certain distance they issue time penalties instead of drive-throughs. The AI certainly seem to finish in different positions to their track standings occasionally, but not enough to change your position that much (that I've seen so far)

There is certainly something really really odd going on. And to be fair the conspiracy theorists are being well fed as there is absolutely no checkable data relating to the AI drivers available. The pad with no assists is frickin hard work, in the dry it takes massive concentration and very subtle hand movements to keep the damn thing pointing the right way. Stick some TCS on and it's an absolute joy, i'm grinning for ear to ear. The XBox triggers are much more subtle and controllable...

Gamestm is probably the best of the bunch and is generally aimed at people in their 20s-30s. I wouldn't bother with the official XBOX mag personally.
