My 3GS randomly just switches off, then takes ages to come back on usually about 7 mins into a call. Any ideas? It's been doing it for ages, even before the last software update.

If car breaks in any significant way just swap it back.

How could the switch possibly move without being touched?

Just cos it's on 108k doesn't mean it's a aux belt change, all depends when it was last done?

I follow Renault guidelines for servicing, so 2 services are about 2.5-3 years for me. It's so easy to do aswell and gearbox is such a weak point in the car I try to look after it. I used coma oil that I bought from birchdown.

Full to fuel light on is usually about 320ish miles. About 33mpg average over last 2 years.

Just as an example, my 05 plate one it still on orginal battery, i recently had to leave the car for 14weeks without being started, started first turn, no issues.
