Problem is I need the dephaser done and you also need an oil change aswell which hikes the price up dramatically for some reason. If they even took it to £600 I'd go for it. Some crazy pricing!! Does anyone know the owner and get me a slightly better rate?
It won't shear. Hammer a lon screwdriver through it so it comes out the other side then use that as a lever. I've done it a good few times and never had any issue. I'd be concerned if the filter was to shear..
As above. I need the belts done:
Timing belt
Dephaser
Auxiliary
And all that goes with it. SWR have quoted £620 for the work. Anywhere as good or does anyone have any other suggestions?
SWR won't knock a penny off so that's the price
I find it crazy that you just completed the job without getting the filter off. Just hammer a thin crew driver through the thing and lever it off. Dead easy.
Anyway as said you won't loose too much, will maybe need a small top up after its done
Hello folks
Looking to get some 195 45 16 tyres for the 172, only need 2 for now. Cheapest seems to be Camskill however they charge for delivery. I believe including delivery they are about £96 for Toyo t1rs in this size. Anyone got any discount codes for anywhere to get them cheaper elsewhere...
I recently bought this little car for peanuts. No pictures yet but they will follow when I get some half decent ones. My plan is just to use the car, I love the colour and its already coming up nicely. I believe the car has been through the forum so someone may see the reg and post in the...
Good effort mate. It looks a stunner that flamer. Really is lovely but as you say if a car comes up that you just want then go for it, you'll regret it if you don't. Do you mind me asking what it is?
As stated just bought a nice 172 Monaco for cheap. I reckon it needs the belts doing..the dephaser is rattling. Receipt from 2012 for the belts. Just thinking I may just get rid of it, was blinded by the cheap price. Is there any point spending £600 on getting the belts done when that's what the...
The only thing I would say is that the standard 172 wheels are quite heavy. If it were me I'd be finding a set of cheap 15 inch wheels. Tyres will be cheaper too. Looking good all the same
