Seeing as the price of Toyo R888 has gone up into the price bracket of other manufactures trackday tyres.
Has anyone any experience of using other semi slick track day tyres and anyone know how they compare to the R888?
Would be good if we could get a list up with some approx prices
Spent some time yesterday and then today cleaning the little Trophy then went to the village I grew up to take a few photos on my way home. Thought it would make a change sharing some non-trackday photos with you ;)
Photos taken on my Sony Ericsson mobile Thanks / Diolch

My Clio is coming up to being 5 years old (50k miles) now and due for the cambelt to be changed. Is it worth changing the waterpump while at it?
Anybody had experience with waterpump failures?
I've got some Clio Cup brake duct deflector plates to fit on my Clio. (Fiberglass ones made by yozzasport - identical to the ones used on the Cup race cars)
Can anyone help me with how to fit them. Are there any points in the front wheel arch I can fit them to without drilling new fixing...
Just started changing clutch cable on my Trophy.
But looks like it's going to be an awkward job lol
Anybody got any advise?
Have started taking the sound deadening from bulkhead but can't seem to get it off enough to easily get to cable?
Anybody know what value resistor I need to fit in order to remove the carbon canister solenoid? (save me going into the wheelarch again lol)
Have gone through loads of past threads but none seem to have an actual value.
A white 197 (think it was a 197 and not a 200) with red renault sport stickers queing up to go onto Anglesey on britannia bridge yesterday around 4pm ish.
After last months Trackday at Anglesey the time had come for new pads and discs.
Decided to go for Brembo Max and Pagid RS2-4 to replace the Ferodo DS2500 and Brembo HC.
Thanks to Yozzasport for sorting the pads out and for advise http://www.readyforthetrack.co.uk/
Here are some pics of...
Will be needing a new set of pads and discs after next weekends trackday.
Currently have DS2500 with brembo HC discs.
Looking at either another set of DS2500 or Pagid blues. Anybody tried the two and how do you rate them against each other?
Is it only Renault itself that can sort problems out under warranty or can any approved Renault servicing garage do it (e.g. Rentech, ABP motorsport etc)
Keith.
