Hi Guys,
Just a quick update with some of my findings and thoughts after about 6 weeks of owning my Racing Blue 182 Cup. It's actually been more than 6 weeks but 6 is a nicer number than 7.7142. A little background, before buying I this little rocket I had never owned a hot hatch nor actually...
Thanks mate, it wasn't too bad in the end considering my complete lack of talent in anything mechanical, electrical or really anything at all!
That is a very good idea, might have to wait until the New Year to do it but a very kind offer! I've heard there are some nice roads between South...
Thanks fella, I did it a few days ago and wish I’d read this first! Had a bit of a problem with the new one though, I bought an aftermarket one off eBay for £16 or so. Looked fine but the plastic hole inside the new knob wasn’t big enough to fit around the gear stick? I tried as much as I could...
Posted on my little introduction thread but why not here too..
New heater control panel, old one was flaking badly and it was doing my head in. Fiddly job but Woody_xX’s tutorial got me there.
I also put in some new genuine Renaultsport floor matts but I’m sure you’ve all seen them before...
Well I haven’t managed to sort the stereo, I think I’m just going to buy a replacement head unit and see if it works, then sell it on if it doesn’t and give in and go to a stealer.
What I have done is fitted the heater control panel bought from mossyv6. Fiddly job but thanks to Woody_xX’s...
I would be bloody gutted if that was me. Especially if there was absolutely nothing I could have done to avoid the collision (I know he jumped a red light, but in most cases a bit of defensive driving can avoid a collision. Followed by copious use of the horn..). Poor fella, first living in...
Even if it was the only liquid yellow Clio on sale and had been for some time, I cannot see any way anyone would pay anything near £7000 or £8000 or whatever it will be priced tomorrow to buy that car in the condition it is in.
Ah jesus. I need to a) be able to detail my car and b) find someone with a DSLR to do my detailing skills justice before I can contribute to this thread. One day!
It is still showing as £7000 on the autotrader app. When I saw it pop up I wondered what was so special about it to be that price. After looking at the advert in detail and reading this thread I've decided that the only thing special about it is the prats selling it.
As soon as I saw the window...
Cheers fella, I might have a chat to Renault directly or maybe take it into my nearest dealership. I'm sure they know everything they need to know about these cars ;)
Do you think it’s the wrong unit? The OEM head unit was working intermittently, it seemed to either have no power at times or no audio despite the radio being tuned or a cd playing.
After checking the aftermarket unit I put the ‘original’ stereo back in and then needed the code. There was a...
Well yes, I wonder whether the OEM stereo that was in wasn't the original stereo for the car (hence the code from the book not being correct, I'm 95% sure I put the right code in) but it is a bit strange that two seperate head units wouldn't work in the same way. I'm not convinced the one they...
Hi all
So I've just bought this thing, and the garage I bought it from acknowledged that the stereo didn't work all the time. They hastily gave me an aftermarket head unit with the correct connectors and I was on my way. The stereo works some of the time, 90% of the time i turns on and I have...
Oh and my long term average for the M3 is just over 25mpg. Not bad. However, my previous 1 series diesel long term average was 50mpg (and it had more torque.. :D).
I drove 3 hours to buy the clio, my M3 was 50 minutes away but I had previously put a deposit on one nearly 4 hours away (having been to view and drive it). The person who bought my old E82 came down from somewhere near Aberdeen to Manchester, but he got a cracking deal on it!
I think that's what the garage was fitting, he explained it to my partner but I was on the phone and her relay wasn't the most descriptive. Makes sense, maybe he did fit the wrong part? I'm going to clean out the washer jets first and see if that helps, maybe back pressure from one of the jets...
Thanks, that's really what I'm looking for. There is the temptation though because I have to pay for an exhaust to get a loud one. I would probably get tired of it though, the missus has a loud stainless exhaust on her Celica and we know she's coming home when she starts the car in the work car...
Hmm tempting, very tempting. I'm going to try and wait until after Christmas because Christmas..
Ah cheers fella what are the chances! Looking forward to getting it, not looking forward to fitting it..
Yeah I see plenty in Lapiz and in White. The finance deals were cracking, fair play for taking advantage. I was tempted for a bit but after spending a lot of time in one as a passenger I decided it wasn't for me. It didn't seem particularly well built inside either, lots of switches broke.. 12...
Good for you mate. My brother has a Golf R in a lovely blue (I'm gonna say Lapiz but with little confidence). Good looking car but a bit anonymous sometimes. At least they got quad exhausts! Capable and fast but I thought soulless and way too refined (although the ride was too firm, it was...
Cheers fella, I had a look at the ktec website earlier. The system with no centre silencer looks decent. As for the seats, I'm going to keep the cup seats for now but I completely agree that the leather/alcantara seats and door cards make it a nicer place to be. It's such a headfuck at the...
Jesus! I opened this thread noting how many bloody pages were in it thinking 'this is gonna be mega'. Seeing the first post, I assumed the following 66 pages were just people telling you what a lovely little car you have. Skip to the end and I was genuinely devastated! I couldn't believe it...
I think I just bought that off ebay from you?
Yes I did fella, any thoughts?
OK will do Steve, thanks for your help.
Goddamnit, I want all theatre and no drone!
