ive raced a v6 4motion (me 4 up him 2) from york dragstrip to the mway down the twisty roads........and ive gotta say he was REALLY struggling but i dint quite have enuff power to pass him. 2 less ppl in my car n i would have lol.
1 of he guys that was in the car then now owns a chipped vr6...
or jus get me to drive it lol thatll take a few tenths off ur 1/4 time
but as a starting point a standard valver CAN do the 1/4 in 15.9 secs
a standard willy CAN do it in bout 15.3 or less lol
(standard being with cats on and all standard zorst n filters etc.)
so any "modded" cars...

well i kinda breached this subject earlier only with a golf vs clio day cos i know for def that the golf boys are up for it ............ and it would make it a lot cheaper and get more mag coverage too.

yeah but goin round a track fast puts the same stresses on the bodyshell and suspension components that drag racing puts on the drivetrain
i know which id rather replace
not saying that drag racing doesnt put stresses into these areas ............. just nowhere near as much

ben mate the corners are on the way into the strip............ and boy are there plenty of them some nice long flat out straights into hairpin rights with dirt tracks straight on fooling the uninitiated lol lotsa fun
as for times...........well considering that a bog standard escy cos...
ben mate im only 0.8 secs off now lol............ and thats without mods
so after some mods i expect to see at least 1/2 sec come off the time
yeah 13s is what im really aiming at but like i said before i dont think ill be running that low timewise lol

as iv posted elsewhere on the forum its gunna be about june before my mods are finished i reckon so ill be happy with keepin in the 14s (albeit high 14s) for the first 1/2 of the season

my old valver had 105 k on the clock when it pulled a 15.9 at york , with just filter n zorst mods................ it was the fastest it had ever been down the strip in 2 years.......... and it felt better and stronger when i sold it than it did when i bought it

hehe and look out for my car in the r/r day, the zorst was only a week old but now its got a nice lining of carbon on it is loads better.....and matt mate u plannin owt for the winter mod wise lol
