Had a look at the brochure for this tyre this morning, still nothing set in stone about what determines a front tyre from a rear but I see what you mean about the extra groove for the rear specific tyres.
My guess is the sizing, the width being 225,235 and 245 and the rears being the wider...
I saw that on the advert for them but there is nothing mentioned in the spec we received off them or on their own order system we use online. I can enquire for you if you like.
They certainly do supersede the Ultrac Sessanta or at least they will eventually in certain sizes. Just listed them on our website (Camskill).
Meant to be a very good tyre, certainly aimed more at high performance rather than fuel efficiency in the new ratings.
The F40 is apparently stronger too isn't it? I wanted to fit that to my Punto instead of the M32 again but after some research it was going to be some hassle and cost a wack more than my refurbed M32 set me back.
Gearbox bearings seem like they are made of chocolate. I ruined my M32 box, although it did have 330+ ft lbs going through it.
The cars are not as bad as everyone makes out though.
I like them, can get them with some good spec. Plenty of modifications available for them. Not a car I would personally own though.
Would prefer a Megane r26 or a Golf gti/R32.
I would take it somewhere like 519 or BTM before letting any back street kind of garage diagnose/attempt to fix it. Especially when having to replace the belts.
The Brembo high carbon discs are only £45 and the matching oem Brembo pads are about £29 from one of the traders on here. Excellent prices for a good brand.
In my opinion - V12s if your on a budget but still want a tyre that will perform well. Or if money isn't a option for road tyres then Pirelli Pzero Nero or Michelin PE3's.
Everyone has different preferences when it comes to tyres though.
I like these, looked at them before the Clio but I didn't think there would be much point coming from one 1.9 diesel to another. What will they do to a tank? Go very well off a map and dont handle too bad either.
I do over 300 a week in the Clio, but at least in your 300 a week you are...
Sounds like a little bargain then.
Exhaust rubbers are s**t and will cause it to hang low.
Steering wheels are crap, the thumb grips always come off although it looks like yours are still on for now.
Airbag connections under the seat are hit or miss too which will put the Serv/Airbag light on.
Some people will disagree no doubts. But the V12s are much better than T1R's, that could be why. All in my opinion of course, but having used both I found T1R's too soft and didn't have as much trust in them.
