Not cheap to get into it yourself, lots of infrastructure, licensing, skills and a NOC to account for to do it so that people will use you.
You have to do it properly otherwise people won't feel comfortable handing over their data and responsibility...
it was the whole laptop which crashed, not safari. just mentioned i was using safari in case anyone said it was the software i'd installed which could be the cause.
not a massive issue as its very quick to boot on an ssd, but to have 3 years of non crashing vista (people are always slating...
I was always a windows vaio laptop man.
Had a 17" that runs vista and hasn't crashed in over 3 years, I gave it hell and rarely rebooted it.
I've had a mac air for a couple of weeks and have had to power it off twice now for freezing on me.
All I was using on it was safari ad it wasn't the...
Loved the app last year, will no doubt get it again this year.
Just downloaded evo magazine, very cool, first issue from a couple of months back to see what it's like is free too!
i can confirm you don't need a sky email.
you do have to tick something in your sky profile online to enable you to use the remote record function though
ok, so i fancy reading the dark tourist by dom joly so i thought id check out the price.
so the ebook is £8.49 form amazon, what a bloody rip off, how expensive!!!!!!
The killer being that the read physical book is only £6.24......
and apparently ebooks are subject to VAT and paper ones...
For someone who wants them then it's an issue, I'm just saying its not for me as I hate them, I can hate them and not need them, I'm allowed you know ;)
It's not there to measure call quality I agree, it's there to measure signal strength though, which is very relevant. If I have 1 bar I move to somewhere where I get 2or3 so that I have a better chance of not losing the other person half way through the call.
It's needed, hence why it's still...
It would've been he first thing I'd have turned off so is a pointless extra cost or bulkiness to have it feature, I seriously don't give a f**k about it, it actually annoyed me
Lol, when I used a pro for the first time in some apple training I first found out how to turn that off asit was distracting me, so I'm glad it doesn't have it!
No anti glare screen, i prefer glossy screens anyway, silver surround is the only option.
Depends what you want it for really, I don't need a pro for an ultra portable, I need an ultra portable, at 1kg, this is perfect, when I replace my workhorse I will get a pro probably and fusion it.
wasn't there a drive which came out but apple shut it down and the company stopped selling it as they supply apple with other parts so they were afraid to lose all the business?
you can get the air with a 256gb drive though.
I have a 3" iPhone, a 9" iPad, an 11" ultra portal and a top of the range 17" workhorse, I think I've got it just about covered ;) oh and a 13" covk.......
for the price, its not going to be anything decent. Sata drives are moving towards having a sas interface these days to make them more reliable too. Server quality sata decease are still shot though, they fail all the time compared to sas
I still like the idea of it.
i'd done some research into them and it seemed that the early ones with problems had tarnished the latter ones where there are now no issues?
with hard drives, especially SATA ones they're never going to be that reliable, thats why they aren't used in business for critical data. Its not apples...
It is my main mac, but not my main conputer, will still use the 17" sony for that, this was a replacement for my 11" sony, so needed to be ultra ultra portable. (plus john lewis didn't have the 13" in and i impulse shop ;) )
Giraffe, I use VLC on windows so that was the first thing i...

is there any software i need to download/purchase which i am missing out on which is a must to own?
should i be using safari or is there a better browser most people use, i'm a firefox user in the windows world, should i stick with that? Safari does seem very...
ahhhh, thanks, thats why it wasn't working, i'll get used to it i'm sure. it does seem very different though, apps you download appear as images, you copy it to the apps folder etc then eject it, strange.
i believe Lion is going to be more similar to the ipad so i will at least know all that...
