    Transmission loss

Google says http://www.carsurvey.org/reviews/citroen/c4/r89672/comments/ Don't know how accurate that is. I've always used 15% for FWD cars.

    Transmission loss

You'll never get an exact percentage from a book/written down as your gearbox may be more or less worn than another 172 gearbox. You'd have to put your engine on an engine dyno, then run it on an accurate rolling road and calculate the difference.

    MGB GT - Engine Swap....

Oooh nice. Did you not fancy going down the T-Series route? Seen a couple of really nice MGBs with Ts in.

Are they seriously this tight at the DVLA...

Yeah but in my case, I'd stick a Rover T-16 into the ZR. I highly doubt Nanjing in China will send a letter confirming an engine built about 15 years before they bought the rights to MG-R lol. Hell, I bet a lot of DIY engine conversions are done by people who are just as competent, if not more...

So what if the engine manufacturer no longer exists?

    Lotus "Omnivore" Engine

Looks an awesome piece of technology, but I don't fancy having the task of fixing those when they break!

My VeeDub Bor-ing... don't get your hopes up!

It'll be to fit a Jap size front recess. They are still legal, but only on imported cars IIRC.

Ferrari In Affordable Trim. Not quite, but I'd have a 20vT in a flash. Was the fastest FWD production car in it's time.

    Jealous or suprised?

That's what pisses me off the most about them. That and every scrote going seems to have one now they've become cheap.
