A wash mitt won't remove waxes. A de contaminant mitt or claying will. I'd suggest a strong TFR spray to remove all traces and leave a bare surface to start.
Stupidly forgot to get the box from our postroom yesterday - had to wash the car for a wedding this weekend (can't be rolling up in a dirty car!!). Would have been great to use it then, but will wait until next weekend :)
Alloy wheels I'd go for Auto Finesse 's Imperial. Acid free and safer for your wheels. It's the test subject for this month so keep an eye on their thread further down.
Metal polish wise, autosol is fine. I do find auto finesse mercury has more pull for chemical contaminants.
Dash, just a...
Aye, the cover pal. The airbox is smooth on the outside, the cover is in keeping with the rest.
Aren't you a different engine code anyway? Not a BAM for the 240s was it?
TomSx interesting one and you could have had mine, since I have a s2000 filter on. Mine is textured like the rest.
Looks good buddy. Desperate to get my wheels refurb'd.
I don't understand the complications here. You bought some fun cars to run alongside the Alfa, so do that with a lower cost Beemer? You're trying to get an everyday work horse to be something fun and exciting. The 335d does what it does well. If you want soul, by something stupid again, like a...
I swear you employ your kids, Dan - there is no way anyone else could go from before to after in the time and detail you appear to manage on your own. Impressive, fella. As always!
I haven't chap, no. I'd be tempted to stick with the stuff you know is good. But then again, we'd not move on if no one stepped away from the tried and tested! Let us know what you think if you do bite the bullet.
You didn't work up at all? Christ, Ian - there are going to be a heck of a lot of scratches in the plastic, fella. Most likely irreparable too.
2000. Yes, it takes time. But the simple fact is, anything lower and you'll not get the marks out. This is plastic, not paint. There are no layers...
I heard Luca as amassed more automotive knowledge in the last few months than his dad has over a lifetime?
Love TDK and your inability to let it go, regardless of the issues she throws at you.
Hope you're well pal.
Joe will correct me if I'm wrong, but I've found for pure polishing, the different grades of sponge (much like pads for DA) work best. For an all in one product like Tripple, MF is better. And re waxing, feel the difference between a polish hand pad foam and the Megs or other brand foam...
Is it not the DP and cats that restrict the flow, over the OEM exhaust? I would suggest swapping those out to a larger bore version before changing the exhaust to something loud and non-sleeper-esque.
I would be worried using a Ceramic Sealant over a single coat paint surface, in that it could leave a different finish. I'd be tempted to go with something like C2V3 or Reload on this. It will work well over Tripple.
