Did a day on the Toledo...

Yeah I need to keep my eye out on eBay and at breakers.

Did a day on the Toledo...

Scrooge, makes sense. Mine are 312 with DS2500 on the front and are farking useless. Too heavy a bus to be stopped with standard brakes. Really need to invest in some handling mods. Or just buy a Cupra R.

    What have you ordered? *Detailing*

    Nice haul, Andy.

What brakes are you running Ant? Mine really are s**t. Wondering if it's just too heavy, with the Quattro. Perhaps Brembos are needed.

    Auto Finesse Dressle Review

Yep, Andy. Same results as I got and same feelings towards the product for external plastics close to paint work ie the majority of them. However, try it in greater quantities as a spray and leave and you'll be impressed. See my updated review.

My weekly cleaning method in pics.... Any suggestions for better products?

Yes as said, wheels first. Think how much dirty water and grime is being slung over your freshly cleaned bodywork otherwise.

My weekly cleaning method in pics.... Any suggestions for better products?

Yeah, you reacted as I expected first time around, Robbie - not sure why it was edited but hey ho! As has been said, the only thing I'd advise is using some decent wheel sealant. You'll only then need to use warm soapy water to clean, rather than something more powerful like Bilberry (waste of...

Looks lovely. Who asked about your cleaning methods, if I may ask without my comment being removed?!

cat171, you still got the Vee right, Craig?

Did a day on the Toledo...

Agreed. Surprised you didn't go for something more bullish than Reload. Something like a decent insulator wax. Although I guess with your washing it quite often, Reload will hold up just fine.

Oh, actually, I'm going to say it looks s**t because you asked and then went against my suggestion ;)

I'm not sure what the last part of that paragraph has got to do with... well, anything tbh. What is amusing is almost three pages with only one post by the OP. Talk about hook line and sinker.

    Apple 0% financing....

Rob, another consideration from testing them out on Tuesday is the fact that the new Retina display ones no longer have an onboard disk drive!! Appreciate they'll be thinner and lighter without, but that's something she wants and needs. We also couldn't tell much difference between the Retina...

    Wax safe pre-wash

I showed you my shed, right? All hung on the wall (it's a slotted wooden panel shed, so the triggers of RDS hang off!). But didn't buy all in one go. Started taking 342 products with price match, so WWHWsx2 at £1.73 + RDS at £2.25 = £3.98.

    Wax safe pre-wash

Agreed, it only made sense when ASDA did it for £3 and I bought 36 from Halfrauds with their price match and 342 offer... lol.

    Wax safe pre-wash

As Dave says, it's as good neat as CP is diluted 1:1, so they're on a par, cost wise. And as Ant says, from several LSPs, it appears fine in my trials.

Potentially chap. James and the team said they'd review the panel in the new year.

She's also half blind in one eye. I have to read words off the TV/Cinema screen for her. But get what you're saying. Another thing to test side by side. Appreciate the SSD thing as well.

    Apple 0% financing....

Just out of interest, @Tom and @Rob, is there any reason not to go with a superior machine without the Retina display for less money? For example, non-retina 13" MBP for £1,100 comes with a 2.9ghz i7, 8gb RAM (yes I appreciate the aforementioned points about RAM) and 1TB of storage... Other...

Corporate discount is 10% for us, Edu is circa 14%. Interesting that that Mike oojamflip website no longer works. Thankfully someone posted a link in the first post.

    Apple 0% financing....

It appears to. She will also be taking up the finance. May as well. Works out as £1,280.40 (256GB variant) as opposed to £1,489.00.
