Is it me, or is the aerial wonky? lol
Looking as clean as ever but you need to plastic dress the exhaust trims and give the rest of the plastics another coat and sack off the CS sticker?
Just being very picky now lol
Just realised you've had this 4 years!
Good effort pal!
When I first met my wife she had a Flamer... It's part of the reason I have mine now... I absolutely loved that car... (Pre private plate)
I'm not going to lie here... but initially a few pages back, I very almost said the colour of the car was terrible for an RS Clio, and the red bits were disgusting...
However lol... I'm glad I didn't because looking at the bigger picture now, this car is spot on and I love the work and money...
Good stuff pal
As I said before, you may end up replacing most things, but if they are genuine it will usually reward you for it. I think decent maintenance and servicing is such a good move on these :)
Bet it's flying along now. Glad to see your saving it lol
Looks like it's slowing reeling back in again! Still light out there now!
Yeah tbh I wouldn't want to be seen in a Volvo? Yes I'm joking lol .... ;)
Living life on edge!
I fitted a thermostat, and on Friday the backbox seems to have disconnected itself... lol
Glad you enjoyed the read...
Welcome pal
New front non-xenon type lights are cheap enough and they will make a massive difference to the front end. Of alternatively look at decent headlight restoration kit. the 3M one is good.
I tend to drive a little blind unless I know others well cars mate, so apologies for not spotting you, it's been almost dark most of the time!
That's probably a good thing for you though, being king of the sleeper stealth boost Ovlov !
Wow great reply @182_steve thanks a lot :)
It's hard not to make updates seem so long winded and boring after that length of time, so I just loaded up photos to do the talking again. I'm happy I changed the wheel colour too, I always liked the anthracite until I looked back after fitting the...
Cheers pal
The cars hardly moved since the track day in August :) Probably 100 miles if that with the MOT etc, so good effort on the spotting
Thanks Dr !
Some of it was an absolute pain tbh but it's done now lol
The shafts were £50 delivered for each side pal, they come as you see...
Sure @scotiamr2t I'll drop you a PM :)
Ha ! Can't promise anything anytime soon though but yes of course lol. I think some of your nice photography would fit well in here tbh?
You'll have to wait until the next update though as the bumper still needs sorting! ;) Thanks Chris :)
Thanks @strell2
Ha !
At least it didn't arrive out of shape pal. Your service throughout was A1++++ mate thank you
Cheers bud
I honestly don't see the problem with them for the price. Been running them on my cars for a long time now so I know there capabilities and they did pretty...
Ha sorry pal, bit of a burst of updates all at once and multiple posting.
The spacers came with extended bolts to suit (15mm and 20mm)
They've been fine inc track use, I'm assuming this is because I've torqued them correctly each time.
As the whole system needed a bleed and because I was swapping the lines anyway, this was a perfect time to pull off the front calipers to get them painted them for the new wheels in high temp bright silver
In-between coats used some satin black on the disc edges and prone rust spots...
So now it was just the brakes to tidy up (so I thought…) then finished off with some Poorboys Wheel Sealant
AT LAST... all ready for it’s MOT… Considering it had already run out by this stage!
Happy Days… Stick my loose drivers door bullet back on and good to go...
Until I saw this… ...
5000K Xenon Bulbs as I felt the 6000K were almost a bit too blue against the white paint
3 x Renault’s!
Checked the replacement driveshaft as it had already started knocking, which proved to be badly spitting grease on my new wheels! :triumph:
This time instead of wasting time on...
I asked a friend to do a photoshop for me of silver Turini’s, because it's a Cup afterall...
Before and after:
So instead of painting over mine, did a deal with @bangybear and swapped for these…
Cheerio to anthracite…
Turini’s back from the refinishers, powder coated bright...
Moving on to tidying the engine bay up a little
Removed the bulkhead sound deadening for a cleaner look, but does add a bit of noise!
New coolant bottle
New PS Cap and Washer Fluid Cap… still unsure on it’s look
Went for a bit of “luxury” with a low mileage thicker pile 182...
Right so here we go then...
There’s quite a bit to catch up on here, so I will be looking at posting the updates a bit at a time from the past year. Mainly so we get some text to go with the hundred of perhaps unnecessary photos… 😊
Continuing on from last time, the reverse lights...
Yep...
I had them on the rear on one of my old cars, as they were nearly new so thought I would keep them...
On the first tight corner of fitting these wheels, the fronts were good tyres and gripped in the rain, and the back end completely stepped out and the front bumper was mm's from...
