Hi, I'm going to upgrade to a K03 turbo when I go down for an intercooler setup with a company.
I've seen Mark run a K04 Turbo with 170BHP on his TCE but I was thinking that a K04 would be too big and that a K03 would be big enough to match that number with even less turbo lag.
Can anyone back...
Is the DCI 100 intercooler specifically made for 100BHP? I want something with a bit more headroom, preferably 200BHP as this will be my project car for the next 5 years (Providing it doesn't blow up ;)).
Thank you! Reguarding Turbo lag, the car runs sweet (Yes its warmed up correctly) with plenty of punch for such a low engine size, you wouldn't even think its a 1.2, more like a 1.7+. But after a while of hard driving, it loses its punch completely which is down to the inter-cooler not cooling...
I've been told to stay away from eBay intercoolers. Moshimoto and FORGE any good? I can ask LongLife Exhausts to pipe it up for me as they are Custom mandrel benders anyway.

Certainly keeps up with a 1.6 VVT easily. Its probably producing 125BHP tops with all the extra things I've got on it too. Danlp6 usually has nothing good to say and is a giant troll which is why I went against his advice to go to KTEC after reading all his other posts.

Looks exactly the same from the back as mine and I do want a pair of those side skirts and splitter! Looks sexy as fuark! I had mine mapped to and it's pushing 130bhp at 155ftlb torque. Hell of a pull! I might be able to keep up with you now ;)
If you whack in a Clio Pipercross Panel Filter in to your Standard Airbox you'll definitely notice the increase in sound. But if you are after even more then just get an induction kit.
Not sure if the car will sound even more diesel-y if you do this though? No experience with Diesels. I get...
For performance just get an oiled panel filter, your lucky to get any BHP gains but throttle response should be a tad better if the old filter was as disgusting as mine was after 10k miles on a new car.

Doesn't the DCI have a turbo? If it has, no point; the intercooler will do most of the cooling down after the turbo has boiled the air.
I just run the standard airbox, I've asked a ren specialist and they said it would make no difference what so ever.
If its sound your after, go ahead.
Hi was driving the windy roads in Dorset the other day and coming up to sharp corners the car has difficulty slowing down and the brake almost feels like it's grinding when I'm pressing down.
