I wonder if, being that this is a second car and can be left sitting for a while, condensation has got into that connector?
I will literally go and grab the spray now. Report back soon.
Thats bizarre. Do you know what that conector is actually for? Must be for something regarding running otherwise why would it work. I dunno, these french baguettes blow my mind sometimes.
This is the first i've heard of anything like this but for the effort, I will definitely give it a go!
Would electrical contact cleaner spray be better than wd40? I have both (cos im fancy).
When you say you gave the fuse box a good clean out, did you pull each fuse and give it a bit of a...
In the interests of anyone finding this thread in the years to come - I lied. Im sorry.
The fault has continued, it just took me a little while to realise. The cars been off the road for a while because it failed its MOT. So, I have sorted it out, but the misfire remains.
Heres where im at...
I've literally been waiting for someone to recommend this instead of me. I recommend it to everyone I know and it was getting a bit embarrassing. Felt like the 'do you work for Carpro' questions were coming 😂.
Jokes aside its genius stuff. £20 for a litre and I've not even used 1/5th in 3...
That's what I was thinking. I'm gonna give it a go with a medium pad and go from there. If I dont get the results I want, I'll up the pad. If I still dont get results then I'll look for another compound.
As a general rule of thumb, how many passes to people make before assessing correction? If...
Not sure what else I have that's less abrasive! I've got some SRP but unsure if that's less or more abrasive. I've also got a 1 step from autobrite that's blue in colour cant remember the name of it!
Im not after concourse simply because its a car I intend to use!
Thats a pretty good idea, I had never considered that option. I have found that the light on my phone seems to show them up pretty well so i might do a small bonnet test and go from there.
I have the hex logic pads with some...
Haha! That's a good point. Unfortunately it's the dreaded petrol station lights at night situation that grinds my gears when I see all the scratches and swirls. Thanks for the heads up. I'm used to detailing in a fluorescent tube lit garage so maybe it's time to dim them and get a warm colour lamp?
All spitting and going in dry jokes aside, I've had a mare with my car misfiring. I created a thread and after lots of shenanigans of swapping injectors with some used ones I'm no further. Recently replaced sparks and leads with no luck. No flashing EML anymore which is a plus. But the code...
I'm chasing the same issue with my car at the moment. Do you have an OBD scanner? They're cheap online if not. It will give you a fault code which you can then chase down from there.
Well thats reassuring. You took the step I was going to do next - contact them. Im pretty sure ive been charged for it too which isnt really on. Any time before christmas would be good please Mr Amazon.
Looks to be good. and mega cheap at £7 something on amazon. I just liked the idea of using C4 once and then its 2 years durability. Looks like im not gonna be getting my order of it!
Has anyone still not received their 30ml bottle of C4 off amazon? Remember the stupidly cheap deal they did. Mines still not even here and it just says they will email me when its back in stock. Any ideas?
Just ordered some. Seems like a nice easy spray on sealant. Ill compare it to autoglym polar seal to see how it fairs. Not that I need anything right now as my car is off the road awaiting parts :poop:
Probably said before but at the moment I'm using Autoglym Polar Seal. For the effort required, its brilliant. Load 3 caps in your snow foam lance, spray on after you've cleaned and rinsed the car. Protected for circa 3 weeks. Done!
Update: just had my order confirmed for delivery on the 19th for the coating. Only 1 month and 1 day since ordering lol.
Also, someone asked how I got on with EZ fallout remover. Used on my well maintained silver car and still managed to get plenty of bleeding. Great value for money. Even put...
Honestly, give Polar Seal a go. 3 cap fills, 400ml of water and go to town. Smells like old mans aftershave (in a nice way) and for how quick it is to apply, it lasts really well. Did the old mans car after a spray decon and it's still going 5 weeks on. Not as beady but acceptable.
