Hey hey matey. Unimpressed especially coming from a Valver owner. Tut tut. The difference aint that much on a flat out blast!
When cornering and hills come into play the 172s torque will give it a larger edge but the 16v will more or less keep with a 172 upto 60mph IMO and experiance. Both...
Earths usually work as normal or dont at all i think. Doubt they can cause that. Maybe something to do with the lives to the display or brake lights.
I think the blades r too big for it so gonna get some off a mates knackered cvh xr2i which is in a garage.
Just gonna put the old cooling blades on my new alternator, hopefully this should be easy. Touch wood.
It is the right alternator for sure just the cooling blades r a little longer than...
The sliding arm is bent anyway. The blades could be too big but thats the 2nd alternator ive had from BMS so im sure its the right 1.
Thinking about using a grinding wheel to take 1/2 an inch out of the arm where it catchs but dont c why i hav to do that when the old 1 didnt catch.
OK, 4 my Fiesta RS Turbo BTW. Bought a brand new alternator and fitted it as the old 1 was fitted. It worked fine for a week but after some vibration felt through the accerater pedal behind the bulk head and a quick blast the blades hav bent out.
Basically this has been caused by the force of...
In first booted it and heard a scrapping of metal.
After letting the turbo spin down, turned it off and the blades jus b4 the pullie which the belt goes round had bent over and worked away the edge of my alternator belt.
Is this down to it being slack and forcing the pullie as it revved up...
Im clueless, jus taking a stab in the dark.
Maybe mapped includes 1 run on the RRd and the readings used for mapping the chip whereas having it live mapped takes hours of fine tuning on the RRd.
I thought the £300 installation and setting-up charge included testing the car by setting up meters (xorst gas analyzers) and stuff then programming ur Bayjoo chip to the way ur engine worx (mapped).
Whereas live mapped meant u had it on a RRd to fine tune every aspect of revs vs fueling etc...
Arrr, but it should be alright? Ive standard injectors at the mo BTW.
So whyd u think an expert thinks i dont need it mapping just the Bayjoo chip? I dont think they do a specialist chip for T3 converted FRSTs BTW.
Basically u saying its ok to run it as it is but would be better for the best...
Manifold pressure meaning (inlet) boost pressure. Hence detecting when the T3 kicks in, hence fueling properly?
So u think to get it running sweet it needs to be mapped with a Bajoo chip?
Or just get a Bayjoo chip like Ian @ Racetek suggested?
Still have the problem of the T3s...
When my window is already shut on my FRST and i press the electric window switch up the parking lights dim and the battery light comes on faintly. :-?
Weird.
Jus had a new battery and alternator BTW. :-?
Im not harming it in any way by running it as it is.
Shouldnt the map sensor be correcting the fueling as the revs increase?
Its a 195 chip which surposable is set to run 701 biege injectors however is fine with standards.
I wanna get a Bayjoo chip and 701 injectors and run 15+psi...
I know there is a few with turbos who come on here plus some experts so thought i might give it try:
I currently run a T3 stage 2 at 10psi with a 195 Superchip and standard injectors. Piper cams, IK, S&S xorst.
Will the superchip which is off the self work fine with the T3s power deliverly...
Well runing 10psi @ the mo but wanna go 15 in the near future when i get my bigger intercooler, injectors & an Ahmid Bayjoo chip.
Probably hav it tuned when its running 15.
