Is there genuinely a bitching contest going on, on OP's thread?
To the narrow minded tit stating it's just metal, it can be replaced etc etc. Why do you feel the need to post that on here? Why have you got to be 'that' guy? Give him a break.
Duhh, the whap-tshhh noises!
If I had that much power I'd be eager to take it out on track to see what it can do, not safe on our roads in the current conditions.
f**king hell even I'm eager to see some pictures of it back in your hands. Then some videos, if you don't produce videos I feel we're all going to be very sad, don't do that to us OP.
He's a top guy from what I can see. Has a background working in Renault, has worked on various Clio's/Meganes (he mentioned someone on here has recently gone with an R26?) and is very well priced for labour rates. Will definitely be going the for any future work.
To bump this thread up, I popped down to see Phil in Grange Service Station on Tuesday.
Can't rate him/them enough. Fitted my car in to be looked over free of cost because I was a bit worried about a noise, and then discussed the issues with me after. Turns out I'm in need of a new shaft as...
Cheers buddy, I don't fancy taking the dash out so I'll just do as you said, try and pick away at most of it with a blade. I'll have a crack at more weight saving on the weekend then, plenty of bits to tackle. Really need to crack on with removing/trimming excess wires back, so far I've just...
Are the J&R ones from eBay rated on the 1*2's? Used them on my old VTS and had no issues, but I've heard people mock them previously. If yes, never mind, if not, where do people get theirs from? I can't imagine everyone pays top dollar for the oem replacement part?
I haven't actually, but I didn't realise it possessed that sort of weight? That's mad gains to be made with that loss, I'll look into it on the weekend mate.
It'll mainly be a fast road sort of weekend car, but with the added in track days (I can't afford too many). In regards to the 155lb's...
I've been meaning to purchase one for a while now, for obvious reasons. I've just come across this one on Amazon 'http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0000WXD0W/?tag=cliospnet01-21'.
I'm wondering whether it would be worth a punt as it's so cheap, or anyone has some recommendations? They seem to vary...
First thanks mate, I tried for about 20 minutes to get a decent line up with the Sun/Background.
I've kept the RAW file from this photo as it's one of my favourites, will be useful for practicing editing on it.
It seems a long way to go for certain disappointment! 🙈
I had thought about altering the colour, but function>looks at the moment. I do however fancy some Sparco Evo seats in the future!
I've already gone off the Morettes if I'm honest...
Seats were ridiculously cheap and came with subframes and side mounts, considering it's a budget track build they fit the purpose spot on.
edit*
They also came with a Momo Wheel and boss kit too, which I can easily make £50 off!
Not much has changed, actually I'm not sure if anything has changed since I last posted.
Gave her the first clean of my ownership since the beginning of October this week! Came up pretty well (needs a DA to attack it, plenty of imperfections) snow foamed, Bilberry wheel cleaner (incredible...
It's not as bad as it looks at all in all honesty. I had been quoted by a Guy that used to do work for Northgate vehicle hire (fixes up damaged vans, resprays, dent repairs) £100 with plastic welding and a respray. Just I left the company last year and stupidly didn't have his details.
40 miles at 65 on the M4 (averaged)
15 miles with combined speeds between 30-60mph
3 People in the car
I averaged 37MPG over a total of around 55-60 miles
I was expecting around £2500 with new MOT and belts/dephaser all done prior to the sale. To be fair, it is very clean, I try my best to capture the shine/look it gives in my photo's.
