with my gti i pull the vac pipe out of the servo and blow a ir line down the pipe and in the servo and that seemed to clear a blockage!

if it has drums on the rear check the cyclinders arent leaking under the seals!

would have taken the induction kit, lights and back box off and sold them separate

the steering also cracks loudly when locking over each way! sure ive heard somewhere that the rack shatters inside and has to be replaced! i changed wishbones, antiroll link bars and track rod ends a few month back too!

depends on which cyclinder has gone down. there a tdc sensor and also a sensor on the throttle cant remember the name!

probably the coil pack in all fairness but its worth checking the fuel cut out switch hasnt triggered!

if you tell the insurance that you cant afford the excess then they should go ahead with the repairs if it wasnt your fault as your insurance will claim it from the other party.

once dry then rub it with 2000 wet and dry whilst wet and untill rubbed down a little and then t-cut or compound it until the got a shine back and then wax it. your still see it though. never get rid of it completely.

that repair aint very good at all! the swage line going through the bottom of the door doesnt line up to the quater swage!
