i wasnt trying to compare, im just saying, everyones first reaction when cambelt snap is 'NEW ENGINE' when it may have just taken out a couple of valves, and fixable for a fraction of the new engine cost.
hence why i said, try to look into the damage!
And it turns out i was right, so ill take...
I have both a standard airbox with an ITG pannel filter,
and an open cast K&N filter,
personally i think the k&N did look marginly better and sound much better,
but will it be bringing the power down by any noticable amount??
i can make a cold air feed for it also if need be!
any input...
why do people do performance mods when there is a speed limit??
why do people put buckets in when the standard seats are prefectly good??
why do people fit foglights to base models when its so rarely foggy?
its down to personal prefrence!!
is nobody else place to judge my taste.
its my...
mounting a bar between the two legs that go down toward the rear arches.
the cage is held on by 4bolts on each legs going to the arch,
and two bolts each leg that mounts to the bottom of the Bpillar,
the bar would be welded in,
however my worry would be, in the even of the an accident,
all...
not sure whats going on with the front bumper,
but please re-think the use of mesh or any other chavy mods,
i did it to my clio when i first got it, and ended up ripping it all off and putting it back to standard, i facepalm whenever i see the pics!
looks like a tidy car though,
also, i have...
id say use hubcentrics as soon as the wheel is no longer resting on the hub!!
the bolts arn't designed to take the weight of the car!
personally id poo myself everyime i drove if i had over 10mm without hubcentrics!
also,
hubcentrics is just the name thats given to spacers that fit the bore...
+1 this!
The only reason you would want one in the correct colour is so it will go straight on!
this one will need respraying so the colour makes no difference!
might as well find a cheaper one regaurdless of colour if you dont mind going down the respray route!
ahh looks better now, must have just been the angle,
have you checked that the shocks havnt sieze??
or have anything stopping them going down??
and that the spring is seated properly??
wheels really need a refurb, theyre letting the car down!!
can somebody shop my wheels black!
or any other colour they feel might look good!
the more the better! :approve:
and if anyone can lower the back to match the front easily,
it would be very much appreciated!!
thanks
i would have a serious moad at NCP,
if theyre advertising it as 24/7 manned,
then you paid for a service you didnt recieve,
and because of them neglecting to provide said service, you've incurred losses!!
and tbh, they should cover it! or if you have a moan, they may put some money toward...
hmm, i may go for grey, or just primer and see what i think,
i went to the european rally in madeira this year and just loved the look of the painted white interiors, hence why i wanted white.
but my just go for the same colour as the car now.
and to answer your second point, when going under...
6x9s are no louder,
it just depends what brand of speaker you go for,
some make more noise than others.
in most cases, the speakers that are "really loud" lack sound quality.
perhaps components upfront,
and coaxials in the rear door cards??
6x9s lack a lot of sound quality most of the...
1. personally i wouldnt go for 6x9, they will pull the soundstage toward the back of the car, and they look horrendously chavy!
2. i really wouldnt use 6x9 in the parcel shelf alongside a sub in the boot. The sub will interfere with the cones on the 6x9 as theyre in the same airspace, and ruin...
im not sure what it is called, but its black, and hard,
its like a sheet of the stuff stuck to the bloot floor,
looks almost like tar, im guessing for reducing road noise??
how do i get it off! i want to paint my interior to complete the stripped look,
and it is getting in the way...
I have a williams blue valver that ive stripped out.
blue seats, red harnesses and a white cage.
so no chance of the interior matching!
im stumped as to what colour to paint the interior!
it looks ver shabby the colour it is!
and blue is a bit boring!!
i wanted to do white, but a friend...
tbh, the wire renault included with the car is pathetic.
if you want to do a proper job, run new wires for the speakers and tweeters to the crossovers!
comfort? practcality??(sp)
i have 3" for myself, but 2" for the passenger.
standard seatbelt takes the entire weight with a single 2" strap so it must be safe enough!
however i do agree for focus looks, 3" ftw,
8awg will fit under the plastic trim below the door easily!
just start at the front, and pull the bottom up just enough to fit the cable underneith!
i did this with 4awg and it worked fine,
only problem you may have is getting under the seatbelt mount, but i managed to thread mine through...
ill probs pop down for this, nice way to spend a sunday afternoon!
providing i remember!!! :D
