Thanks. I just cut out the correct sized square so they clipped into place tightly then used a hot glue gun and glued into place from behind. Can just reach them when harnessed.
So been busy moving workshops and the car was the last thing to be moved over hence lack of updates, also missed first race meeting.
So small update after work, fitted tow straps front and rear because race car.
Custom made by @Tom Johnson.
Managed to get the top of the dash in today, makes a massive difference visually. Also got my low x seat base and new bucket seat in, just squeezes in next to the cage.
Small update
Started removing the stick on sound deadening, what a horrible, boring job but had to be done.
Then masked up the cage to avoid marking it and got to work trimming the dash to fit.
Just wondering if anyone has tackled this already to save me some time with a multimeter.
Just removed my ignition barrel from my track slag to disable the steering lock and fit a push start button in the dash. As I removed it, the whole thing fall apart.
Anyone know which wire does what...
And this is the reason I got @Tom Johnson to build a through the dash type instead of going the SD route.
It does make sense, the closer to the a pillar, the more protection you'll have. In my eyes, it never really should have been approved?
Thanks for the feedback guys. I've got longer bolts now so I'll give them ago.
Very long day yesterday, 5am start and 400 mile round trip but so worth it.
Went to see @Tom Johnson to have my cage fitted. Great guy, very talented.
Small update:
Not had much spare time on the car but bought a seat and 6 point harness at the autosport show. They finally arrived today, I can't wait to get these fitted, sorry for crappy phone pictures.
Off on a long drive at the weekend to have the cage fitted by @Tom Johnson
