Oil is thicker when cold and as it warms it thins out hence why it only makes the noise when it is at temp. Is there actually oil in it? Surely the work on the belts would come with a 12month warranty so go back to the garage...

Easy fix, just turn the stereo up :) Clio 182 with solid engine mounts, you learn to live with rattles :)

Like I said they run like crap for about a minute.

After you start from cold it feels a bit down on power then after a minute or so it picks up power and smoothed out.

Does it run sluggish for only a short period of time whilst cold? The Sports usually run bad when cold but only for couple minutes. Mine does the same, car swaps to a warm map once gets to certain temp.

If it is accidental damage then it is not covered under warranty and you will have to pay to have it fixed (Buy a new back off eBay got £4). For Apple to sort anything you need to book an appointment at the Genius Bar. If you just turn up they won't see you (Learnt from experience)

If I had like a 1.2 with head gasket leak then I would probably use it then buy a second hand engine for like £150 and put that in. I heard stories it completely rots and corrodes all the cooling hoses and channels. If you want to clean the head up and replace the head gasket it is a nightmare...

May fix it for about a week and make changing the head gasket after using it about 5x harder. Apparently they make a complete mess inside the block.
