Yep, was definately modded to some high degree. Have toasted plenty of 1.9 gtis (standard) in a straight line when 2 up and a full tank (no chance in the corners though). You can tell if they are modded by the fact that it is faster than you! as no way is a pug 1900 faster, even if you are 4 up...

The 206 gti 180 will probably be a fraction faster than the 172 at best, so at least we know that it would be pointless swapping the 172 for one( no doubt there were quite a few people on this forum interested to see if it was worth buying ). So maybe only the Civic type r is now the only option...
