no it really depends on the car and its construction. access can be a problem e.g a down near the front edge of a door. where something is double skinned e.g a rear wheel arch on a mini (in fact almost all of a mini is unsuitable for a dent repair)

a lack of abs is not normally the reason cups get written off but there are a few people who have had minor bumps where ABS may of prevented it.

if its just a water mark clean the seat again and use a small amount mild detergent and water but make sure you do the whole seat and wet vac it off.
do it evenly and you wont be left with a mark.
the full lock thing is normal its a case of having big fat tyres
the 172 suspension is not designed for bumpy roads and tracks i would suggest that its just the track uses all of the available travel and your bottoming it out.
if it doesnt happen on the road there shouldnt be a problem if...
