Gaz , speed aside , they are a long way ahead of the ST IMO . And Scott (who has the mk4 32) had his ST with mods for 3 years so I know a lot about them .
This is a great thread . Been following it since u posted. You have a great attitude about it all. Any more info on the car itself ? Gearbox , power delivery , tax disc cost, parts and servicing (ie tyres , brakes ,yearly service) etc. interested to find out more :) And if possible a quick video...
Fantastic car. And superb reasons for buying it. Only get one chance at life , if you can afford it , do it. In the nearish future I will be doing something crazy in terms of a new car. Quite effing right !
The handling as standard was good ! 4wd drags you out the corners with the torque helping . Very planted ! With th coilovers on it's improved the handling but sacrifices the comfort. Not going to lie , it's not a smooth ride but it's by no means "crashy" ! Because they are so low your eyes are...

Hotel was 112 euros each for the 2 nights . Ferry from Newcastle wasn't pleasant. 16 hours there , 16 hours bk . The return trip was in a force 9 storm. The whole boat was sick . Waves above deck 7
The only thing I regret about the trip was not taking mine. We thought everyone was taking a passenger to split costs etc but only ours and 2 other cars had passengers . Defo taking my own next year !
Should just do it mate. We stay just outside Glasgow and from here to the ring (including laps) we done just over 800 miles . Less than it is to travel to London and back !!
I'm shocked if the gt3 was quicker than the GTR mate ! Maybe because it was crags first time on track ? It was pulling away from any Porsche we seen on track
