I got a crow bar wedged in and levered the engine towards the front of the car.... then packed as much tube in both sides as I could.... hey presto the noise had gone..... a few weeks later it fell out and the knocking re-accured.... so I did the same but siliconed it in.... been spot onn!...

Im looking to purchase some 17s for my 172 with standard springs, does anyone have any suggestions / pics???

They should but it in the brochure as a special feature..... I think everyone in this forum has the same problem mate...

I intend to... nearly threw me off the road... was about 150mm deep and 500mm wide.... £200 should do the job me thinks!

I took some photos of the damage and the pot hole.... Ill fill in a claims form and send the pics.....

over the weekend I hit a pot hole while cornering and had a blow out, the tyre has a hole in the wall and the rim is ruined. How much would would a 172 alloy be??.... gonna claim of the council.

I hit deer in saxo vtr.... needed new wing, bumper, bonnet, front panel, windscreen, headlight, arch kit.... deer was dead!... and mostly on the car.....

Add hedgehod and squrrel to my list!

I had the unfortunate mis hap of wiping out a dear!... at approx 70.... that was a mess!...

Yeah thats them.... But once water is in, how do you get it out??... wont it start to corrode??

Exactly the same s**t as they told me..... said same about my fogged up lights too.... Whats the best way of de-misting them??...

Thats what Leeds and York Reno said to me, it wasnt covered!.. So I would have to pay for them to check it out and to repair it...... just for the same to happen again...

Its a joke tho, dont you all think??.. the car shouldnt knock and we shouldnt have the hassle of fixing it.... Reno should get the problem sorted and offer free repairs to all them that do...

Mine does it in first, second and third (vibration/grinding/banging noise).... Apparently its a combination of loose engine mounts and vibration of the downpipes on the steering rack... Im getting mine up in the air on Sat...

Hi, Im new onto this forum therefore I dont know if this subject has been brought up before. I have a mk2 172 sport.... when I accelerate hard in first, second and third gear the front end make an horific noise... sort of a vibration/knocking noise (not wheelspin) which really does sound...
