I got a crow bar wedged in and levered the engine towards the front of the car.... then packed as much tube in both sides as I could.... hey presto the noise had gone..... a few weeks later it fell out and the knocking re-accured.... so I did the same but siliconed it in.... been spot onn!...
over the weekend I hit a pot hole while cornering and had a blow out, the tyre has a hole in the wall and the rim is ruined. How much would would a 172 alloy be??.... gonna claim of the council.
I hit deer in saxo vtr.... needed new wing, bumper, bonnet, front panel, windscreen, headlight, arch kit.... deer was dead!... and mostly on the car.....
Thats what Leeds and York Reno said to me, it wasnt covered!..
So I would have to pay for them to check it out and to repair it...... just for the same to happen again...
Its a joke tho, dont you all think??.. the car shouldnt knock and we shouldnt have the hassle of fixing it.... Reno should get the problem sorted and offer free repairs to all them that do...
Mine does it in first, second and third (vibration/grinding/banging noise)....
Apparently its a combination of loose engine mounts and vibration of the downpipes on the steering rack... Im getting mine up in the air on Sat...
Hi, Im new onto this forum therefore I dont know if this subject has been brought up before.
I have a mk2 172 sport.... when I accelerate hard in first, second and third gear the front end make an horific noise... sort of a vibration/knocking noise (not wheelspin) which really does sound...
