im getting 33 mpg round the town in my Mk1 1.2? is this normal? i took it really steady for the whole month but surly i should be getting more!!!! anything i can do to get the figure up?

Think my tappets are going, theres a loud clicking noise coming from the engine..... how much would it be to replace them? and what sort of damage will it cause if i dont replace them? thanks

mate im looking at this to be my next mod, halfords sell a tin for 9.99 and in my halfords in got a ripspeed section and they sell spray paint for calipers at 18.99. prob do it next week, but get some picks up when you do it
