are the speakers after market ones or the standard clio ones? When the speakers aren't getting the right power to them it can cause damage to them and that might be what your problem is. This has happened to my vibe 6x9s as I wired them straight to the headunit rather than a separate amp. Just...

Yeah it feels nicer but can't really tell as its probably psychological! Lol and fuel wise.. I'm putting more in as I love the noise so driving everywhere! Nah I can't really tell a difference in fuel at the moment, only had it on about a month..

Yeh I've currently got that on my 1.4... it's got that induction kit note your looking for, but surely you won't hear it over the exhaust if its loud? That's what my mates clio is like anyway lol
