Cheers
My cup has been great, no issues or anything however earlier today it was turning over for a good while and just wouldnt fire! It took a good 3 or 4 tries and then spluttered and came to life. It's been fine since!
Any ideas where to start with this one?
Cheers
Tony
Can anyone help me? I think I posted in the wrong section originally..
http://www.cliosport.net/forum/showthread.php?543190-2002-Clio-1.2-16v-stalling-and-warning-light
Hi a friend of mine has a 2002 Clio which for a while has had a problem where it will randomly stall at junctions and the warning light always comes on on the dashboard. So far it's been to a couple of garages including Renault but after replacing lots of things the problem still persists...
stick with the dizzy you have and use megajolt. Or if you can use some of the functions of megasquiret i beleive such as throttle position sensor. Get in touch with Bill Shurvington, he is your man!
No, I have a megane 225 now, but I built a VX 2000cc XE powered westfield and had to convert the injection system on that to run carbs and converted to points based dizzy.
My conversion was to get rid of the electronic distributor and ECU off the vauxhall and replace with ignition set up...
If you have electronic distributor then you will need either a points based distributor system that will fit, or you can buy a standalone engine management system such as weber alpha, or MBE etc.
A good one (on function and due to the fact its a DIY kit is cheap) is Megajolt. This will...
A friends clio 1.2 16v (2003) has just shown a warning light which the manual says is a toxic gas warning light. Any ideas what could cause this, is it safe to drive and also are renault the only place who could hook their box of tricks in to see what the problem is or do the likes of the AA/RAC...
Re: My GF's 172 is slow as f**k :(
Ive had 2 phase 2 172s now, 1st was 2 years old with 24k on it and one I have no is nearly 6 yrs old with 45k on on it. The one I have now would have left my other for dead. The 1st one had no noticeable power increase at 5k revs at all, the one I have now...
I can vouch for that (I dont earn that much like!) couple of guys here regularly bring home £25k-£50k in 1 month. most months though are around £5-6k. Tons of people here earning over £90-100k PA.
We get our salary (which is good!) plus 13% of our sales.
IT sales of no interest to you? I used to work at Nortel a few years ago as a CVX/Passport commissioning engineer and was earning 28k at 19 (this was a good few years go Im 26 now!) but got made redundant in 2000. That was the best thing that happened to me, was completely fed up of working away...
I used to have a cupra 20VT which made 220BHP and 265 ftlbs and it was very quick, standard k03 turbo runs out of steam quickly and dies off at about 5k revs. I had brembo brakes with 303mm rotors so it did stop well too. Handling was shocking on std suspension though. Sold it to get a delta evo...
mine too, not the dog bone mount as suggested in other threads though in my case. Gonna get it up on the ramps later in the week will post back up if i find anything
Yeah its a stealth one, its not up on their website as of yet as they have only just come out of prototype. First batch is being made now so will be available in next couple of weeks.
They have been a while in production and testing etc, I am informed that the quality is superb and are all...
Narrowed my options down to either the Ktec, GDi or taking a 200 mile trek to prospeed.
Are there no good suppliers up in the north west at all?
How hard can it be to get an exhaust?!
exhaust just gone at the silencer on my car. Its a 51 mk2 172. Want to keep as standard as poss, wheres the best polace to get a new one? Dont want a magnex or anything loud!
Still havent got round to looking at this yet, although Im not 100% that its an engine mount. The creaking is just as bad when I brake at low speeds as it is when I pull away at low speeds.. Any other ideas to look at?
The only guy I could find to do Clifford when I had my Integrale was a guy called Mick at Alarms & Tints. He is based in Nortwhich but does seem to know his stuff. He would be a good place to start
his number is 07967 817494
