Jay - I think you have it back-to-front. Imports have the 2 year manufacturers warrenty. This can be topped up to 3 years with a simple phone call to Renault. I doubt that any import has the cat1 alarm fitted, but this can be retro fitted by a Renault dealer for about £300.

Only needs to be 2 of them if they are not using calibirated equipment (usually a boggo panda car?). The second copper basically backs up the opinion of the first.
